First I used to listen to this song of bts being happy and singing along but since I got to know the real reason for this song. And the hidden meaning behind the lyrics of this song. It hits me so hard and I cry and realize how delicate the lyrics are. I am proud of BTS for making this masterpiece

That was because the captain told all the students to stay where they are and he cowardly got off the ship leaving the students. It's really sad, there is even footage of the students being confused and scared in a sideways ship before they drowned. Some kept saying they don't wanna die and others joked around because they were nervous and weren't aware they were sinking

For anyone who doesn’t know 💔: this song is about the sewol ferry incident. So basically in April 2014, 475 students went on a trip to an island in South Korea. They were excited to go on an overnight ferry to the island. While the ferry was moving, the captain made an announcement that the ship was sinking, and told everyone to just stay put (a fact about this that is interesting is that one of the victims who survived actually had heard about a subway incident where only the people who didn’t listen to what the adults said survived) and before it fully sunk, the selfish captain fled the ship without helping ANY of the students. (Another fact is that two of the victims tied their hands together so they would die together, not alone and meet each other in the next life. 💔) more than 75% of the students passed away. the captain is 69 and was sentenced basically life in prison. (he got 36 years and he would be 105 when he would get out and there’s a low chance he will live to that age.) may every student rest in peace and the captain? Don’t rest peacefully. I cry so much for this story.
