killed a lot of deer on mountain oak but it is just like you said find them early before any thing else drops and find feeding sign on them and you are in business !!also check them late season when everything else is gone and deer feed on them again ! thanks for all you do !!

Mannnn…….. I killed 2 all on public here In Mississippi this year and 3 is limit. I was so close on 3 different turkeys, in fact called one in my lap & couldn’t get shot off . I don’t feel so bad hearing these stories. I had one in a corner of a food plot and I was at the trail opening, I could here him spitting , he was about 30 yards away through a thick “hell hole” as Jacob says & he would not break from coming out of that corner to come see the hen(me) at the trail leading to the plot. I was so frustrated that I didn’t tag out because I was so so close on several occasions. Nevertheless, it was a great season, I was on birds a lot. Those situations are what keep us going back. I’d love to get another hunt in Tn or Indy but I believe it’s all deer from now til Feb 15th 2025 lol
