I'm pretty new to growing petunias, but I'm pretty sure that they love 5-6 hours of sun and do not like wet feet. The front door basket is awesome!

Wet foam is for fresh flowers,if it gets water in it it will become very heavy,you need dry foam! The decorating of your porch is beautiful!

Flower box tip: Line the bottom with disposable baby diapers before adding soil. It helps retain moisture. Beautiful porch💕

Hi, Jess, you’re porch looks so pretty! I’m not sure how the petunias will do in those window boxes unless they get sun part of the day. If they don’t do well, try ivy and impatiens as those are shade plants. The potted flowers need the bound roots teased apart and I’d recommend a larger pot for more room for them.🌸😊

I think the door basket is so spectacular because you used those oversize flowers. They really made an impact! I have the black lanterns also... I don't put candles... but I put an aged terra cotta pot in them with a faux garden ball.

OMG your bunny is so cute! 😂 One thing you may try doing is before you pour a plant open up the bottom of the plant a bit to let the roots take hold. It really helps the plant’s root system. I have the same hanging basket on my porch snd have fun doing it differently for every season! I envy your warm weather…in Wisconsin today we had snow mixed with rain! Ugh! Hopefully by the end of May I can get some plants in pots!🌺🌷

Overall, a striking design! You were very lucky with that spray paint. I couldn’t have pulled that off.😁 I like the color of your chairs, but why block the petunias? A couple of long, striped pillows would look great too. The flowers and herbs will need more sun. Ooooo! I love your bunny😍🐰, and seeing your dog’s nose in the window!🐶😃

Porch looks great. Tip for watering petunias. The dirt should watered instead of the top/ blooms. The blooms don't like water and when they get wet they collapse and don't perk back up again.

Very pretty porch. Love the Balsom Hill faux items. I know they’re expensive, but Im tempted to buy some of them, because they’re good quality, I don’t have a green thumb, and I get so tired by August, of watering plants. Maybe you could paint your rocking chairs.

I love the basket on the front door. I’m going to look for one like that. I’ll have to make sure my screen door will still close with a basket on. I have a double rocker that needs to be stained again. I didn’t realize you could just do it like that. Now I know if it ever stops raining here so much I can. And I’m going to have to keep all my outside cat friends off it for a while.

Petunias r great but needs lots of sunlight and deadheading. Once the blooms is spent cut it and the little stem it’s on or it will not put out more blooms. Just a lil tip from a huge Petunia Lover!
