This vlog was exactly what I needed this morning. The beautiful music, you and Grace in the garden calmed my nerves and my eyes were welled up. There are so many gardeners on KZbin and I subscribed a few but now unsubscribed all except yours. You are so genuine and down to earth and I love the calming energy you radiate. I remember your video on when you talked about how you started growing flowers (the one rose you bought) and now you are that rose to me and I believe to all of your fans. I so wish I lived closer and I’d buy your cut flowers every week. Thank you for the beautiful video! ❤

Danielle I have 30 years on you and I just started a new garden. It’s A LOT of work because I’m definitely on a senior budget and really didn’t start my new garden the “proper “ way. I do what I can when I can and it may not be anyone else’s dream but my dream, my dream to create a beautiful garden before I go to the Lord. I hope the Lord grants me many days to create my garden but if not I will love it all the same. 🌷💚🙃

Your garden is gorgeous! I’m 75 and have converted my wood raised beds to higher metal raised beds by installing the metal beds on top of the soil in the wood beds. Makes it so much easier for my older joints to care for. 40 is young my dear girl. Just wait and see❤❤❤❤❤

I’m 76, I’ve passed the everything in pots phase. I bought gorgeous huge pots unfortunately I couldn’t move the even with my dolly. They were way too heavy. So I’m back in the garden trying to only plant perennials. You are way too young to think about “getting older”. 🤣🥰❤️ Love all that you do! Your father painting is lovely!

Good morning, Danielle. Such a lovely video and vlog today, with your Mother’s beautiful music, your father’s painting, glorious color in the garden rooms, you, and Grace. Perfection and inspiration! Regarding the books you have recommended, I was able to find three of them at my public library: Monty Don’s “The Complete Gardener,” “The Cottage Garden,” by Claus Dalby, and “Private Edens,” by Jack Staub. The photography in all three is breathtaking, and I devoured it in each book, but I was drawn to the text of Monty Don’s book and I’m actually reading that one! 😊 And the biggest bonus from all this inspiration? I’m weeding my neglected front perennial bed this morning, with joy. Oh. And since other folks are giving their age, motivated by your comment of being almost 40, I’m turning 75 in June. Good thinking ahead on your part, so that gardening will continue to be a pleasure as you age. Thanks, Danielle!❤

Your garden is so rich and beautiful. Your book selections fabulous, thank you! And yes pots, I do love pots and grow my bulbs in them and it’s means you can move them around, create and change the displays, easily remove them and store them so all on all, such a great idea. I started my bulbs in pots originally because I was moving and didn’t want to leave my precious flowers and then decided I like them in pots so much I continued and that has now been 8 years!

Ahh...to only be approaching 40. Believe me, you have many, many years to go before you start getting "older". Your gardens are an absolute haven. I will admit I was skeptical about the location change of the Garden Library, but it really worked out perfectly; I like that the mulch area is behind it and out of view. So being at least 20 years older than you, I still spend hours (almost daily this time of year) working in the garden...I think it keeps me young!

What a treat to catch up with you dear Danielle 😃 Your garden is a true picture of beauty in Spring and your combination of colours in your Tulip display works so well and the result is nothing short of spectacular. I am so happy to see that you have caught some colour in the Spring sunshine and that Grace is looking very good too. The first bouquets of flowers in your little selling stand are always such a happy sight. I have definitely made notes for my Tulip displays next Spring. Loving your book recommendations and hopefully will make it through my summer reading 💚

Funny thing, when you were doing the book recommendations, I heard Grace’s toenails on the floor and thought it was my dog. I wondered what she was after in the house until I realized she was curled up behind my legs as I was laying on the couch! That’s when I realized I was hearing Grace! 😂💕. PS, mine is a 17 lb. havapoo so plenty of room behind my legs and easy to forget she’s there when engrossed in your video. 😉

Your garden is absolutely gorgeous. I’m so inspired by it. I plan on doing lots of containers with bulbs next year. I just turned 50 and I keep saying I have to start doing less or get things more structured so it’s easier, but when it’s in your blood you just keep going and changing and dreaming. As things mature along with me and fill in I think it has gotten easier but I keep starting projects that feel impossible sometimes.

Your garden and tulips are so beautiful. Loved the bouquet for your mom. I am enjoying the last of the tulips. Lots of rain this week, so the full blooms shatter. I have a lot of Darwin tulips, as they come back reliably for me. I leave them in my flower beds interplanted with daffodils and perennials. Only negative being the foliage dying back. IL 5b/6a I have been happy to have some of my doubles come back as well.
