I don't even know what to say about this porch. Aunt Penny may be good at thrifting, but she is also missing her calling as a decorator. Some people utilize interior decorators....she should be an outdoor porch/garden decorator. I would pay for her to decorate my outdoor space. Gorgeous beyond belief. Such a pretty home tour! Thank you!! I gasped when you showed the planter collection. The planter with the little duck/wheelbarrow on the bottom shelf made me tear up. My mom got a floral arrangement in that exact one when my brother was born in 1980. When my parents moved in 2009, my mom boxed it up and took it to Goodwill. I'd give anything to have that planter back. Seeing it made my heart flutter and brought tears to my eyes. Keep it visible so I can see it in videos. ♡

Beautiful plants everywhere! Especially love the collection of animal planters, and also the arrangement with the little cabinet with the books in a bowl, the head planter, and the flowers. Very lovely and elegant home. It's especially important these days to create a peaceful sanctuary for ourselves and I enjoyed seeing this one. I, too, collect the vintage white dishes...I pick them up when I see them...most of them came from the thrift store and a few from estate sales. Im with Kayla !! This spring tour is my favorite !! I am so glad she is going more vintage and not new stuff !! The moulds were used in Victorian days ! They loved fancy foods !! Alsso used for asp and bread puddings. Love Penny's foux food !

I just love you both! Everything looked so pretty. It’s was hard to find my favorite thing but I loved the white chair on the porch with the Geranium. You girls are so lucky to live near so many places for “junkin”. Can’t wait until you go on your trip to the big yard sale. I went to a church sale Saturday in my area and passed up 2 white pitchers. Penny's house is beautiful but I can relate to her not wanting so much dark. My house is dark too and if I ever redo I'd like it lighter. But it will be my luck the bright and white will be out of style and dark will be in. Let her know that it all looks great.

I think the white plates are possibly ironstone? I have some with that edge but they are rather thick plates. Many manufacturers made the same patterns of ironstone and you would not know they are not a matched set till you check the stamp, engraved manufacturer's mark or lack thereof on the bottoms. I just buy them at thrift stores when I find them and doesn't take long to make a set.

Thank you!! Try the long white/cream curtains. If I didn’t have messy dogs I would have slip covered furniture. I keep my two chairs covered with blankets when we don’t have company 😂

The property they are on now was a family property belonging to Penny’s mother in law and her sister. Her mother in law has another property across the street that her husband inherited with a beautiful pond❤ if you think this is a beautiful property, you should see the other side ❤❤ Eventually Allen wants to move to his parents property where he grew up🥰

Thank you so much!! I don’t really do anything to the ferns, these are Kimberly ferns. Until a few years ago I didn’t really know there was a difference. Kimberly’s are for pots and Boston’s are for hanging. The only thing I do is transfer to a big pot so they gave room to grow, then just water with occasionally miracle grow or epson salt.
