holy shit i just made a version of this pie and it was sooooo insanely good. if anyone is curious about any measurements or adjustments for the crust i used 3 heaping tablespoons of peanut butter (unsalted, no sugar), around a cup of coconut flakes, 1 tsp vanilla extra, pinch of salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 5 dates (mine were huge), and 1-1.5 cups of oat flour. the peanut butter made it really sticky so i added as needed. then for the filling i just used 1 giant sweet potato, 1/2 cup of coconut milk, 1/4 cup of soaked cashews, blend of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, salt, clove, nutmeg, lemon peel. i baked it but the crust browned way too fast so i realized this is probably a no-bake treat. i popped it in the fridge once it cooled off and served it with warm blueberry chia jam and im really obsessed ate about half of it myself. thanks for the inspiration!!!

when i was young, we usually couldn't afford a landline at home - you'd queue at the public payphone if you had to, but it was expensive and there weren't many - you'd just go round to someone's house to see if they were in. If you were a child, you'd go round and ask 'please missis smith, can tommy (or your friend's name) come out to play?' if you were an adult, it was called 'going round to someone's house to see if they were in/wanted to come out'. We used to 'go out' that way - someone would go round to someone's house, it would start like that, and persuade them to go out, and it would grow from there. I miss that so much. Just doing, not planning, not knowing in advance, acting came first

See I told you I did the same thing today and lay in a pile of wild hay in a meadow. and watched my goats graze. When the weather changes from freezing cold to warmth your body gets a big sigh of relief. :) There is nothing like I beat you winter and kicked you good now for Spring! :) Thanks for sharing the wild wonderful west coast it is my home and where I grew up. When you're able to travel to Canada I highly highly recommend you explore Vancouver Island. I think about you quite often when I'm at the beach, and I can look out to see Washington. Sombrio Beach, and the surrounding areas are incredible and I know you would absolutely love it!
