Great video! I learned a lot. You are hunting in different types of trees and younger trees than I expected. Maybe that’s why I haven’t been consistently successful for spring king. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for a very good and exciting video. About 60 years ago, I used to get morrels in the woods around SE Lake Michigan. They were blond and 5"+ on nice tall stems. I called them chunky monkies. So yummy saute'd. Must say, I've never seen those Spring Kings before, so lots of breathless OMG'S from me😋 Sure enjoyed this adventure.

I just got back from the UP in Michigan. Im glad you enjoyed the video. A good combo would be wild ramps, aka wild leeks and morels. 😋

@westcoast8562 thank you, really appreciate it. New to PWN and had luck finding morels around 3500' SE of hood, but no clue where to head for kings.

@@mushroomsforagingadventures figers. Best to find some clientele and cut out the middle man at least some of the time. Road side stand, canvass restaurants or get a table at local market or get someone atthe market to rent you a small space at the table.

Yes, you need a permit. Just go get you a free personal use permit at the Ranger Station.

What state is this? Those kings look quite different from the spring kings I find in my spots here in Oregon
