+Alycia R It's both a great and terrible time that we live in, women are expected to be a walking middle finger to what men think/want, but when someone wants to do something nice for their partner (wear more/less makeup, etc.) their partner is "controlling." We say we don't want to be generalized but we're generalizing every situation as the same. Personally, I could have a full face or no makeup, my boyfriend doesn't notice or care. There's nothing wrong with doing things to please the one you're with, that's the fun in a relationship. Sorry for the rant, but I agree, she absolutely doesn't have to explain herself to anyone, especially when she seems so happy with where she is right now.

For guys, it is just harder for them to appreciate makeup because most prefer natural but it doesn't mean she should leave him guys lol, some men just prefer more natural who they can see the makeup sitting on the skin. I love this makeup look because its something unique that you don't see often! It's very colorful and different. And that's always been your style. I wish I could just say to ignore all the negative comments but I know it's not that easy, in the end you're human just like the rest of us. But if it makes you feel any better, my boyfriend is the same way 😜 and it's not a bad thing. I love makeup and he knows it, but it is less of a hassle knowing I don't always have to get dolled up for him especially days when we'll just sit at home and enjoy each other's company. And it saves me from getting irritated if I do wear makeup and it ends up rubbing off in the end anyway lol.

I don't usually EVER comment on these things but I came from snap. I can't believe people are giving you shit over trying a makeup style because your boyfriend likes it a certain way. It's not like he cuffed you and was like it's either less makeup or gtfo. I swear our generation is so against the idea of compromising. When you do something that your S.O other likes you're not being a "pushover" or being "controlled" or "too meek". You're simply trying out and taking their ideas into consideration because you care about them, why be in a relationship otherwise?? What people ALSO don't realize is that at the end of the day YOU are a makeup guru. You try out new looks. God forbid that suggestion comes from your boyfriend. Oh no he must be trying to control you and eat you alive. So sick of people taking suggestions in the form of criticism. How are you meant to develop as a makeup artist then? Smh at people calling themselves "feminists" but not realizing what they're actually doing😒

All women are expected to have a "fuck you I do what I want" attitude toward their partner when it's exactly what you said, you're taking what they say into consideration. If you don't value what they say why are you in the relationship? You don't have to bend over backwards doing everything they want, but to me the fun of a relationship is making the other person happy!

Exhale the negativity and inhale the positivity. Girl I feel you, my boyfriend likes me with minimal make up and I think that's a compliment. It means that I don't need a lot of make up on a daily basis to get out of the door and he loves me for my natural beauty. It doesn't mean he runs my life, it just means that he appreciates what I was blessed with. I still do my make up how I like, but it's nice to know that someone sees you beyond all the make up and lashes and sees the real you. You do you boo!

Aw hell. I hope I did not just hear you say you put on less makeup for your boyfriend. Now this conversation can go many directions but let me ask you this: Why are you wearing less for him? If he likes less makeup then he can go w someone who hardly wears any? Simple solution. Boy, bye. I mean like I'd die and go to hell before I changed my makeup routine for anyone. I'm scrolling through the comments and I've seen so many comments actually defending your boyfriend. It's really sad because you should have autonomy over your body and his comment ain't worth shit. +Jeremiah Gutierrez LOL! I wish i never said anything at all... I asked for his opinion and he said he likes how I look with less makeup (which is a compliment). And because I like him, from time to time I may wear a natural look that I know he likes. Sometimes I won't. Ultimately I'll wear the makeup that makes ME happy. Now I have people like you making unfair judgements about me, I'd say that's what's sad.
