Just getting back into carp fishing after a few years out and what a cracking video this is from Darrel and the Korda team! Absolutely cracking video, taken a lot away from it 👍🏻
@oakspool98863 жыл бұрын
A nice touch was seeing the dramas left in. With the fish hung up on the other rod, presumably that line had pulled tight into weed stopping it coming in. Had that happen before myself, and reassuring to see it even happens to the pros. Be great to see things like this discussed on the vids more, a bit like the fish in weed. There probably some of the best things we can learn from the pro's, to help with converting takes and fish safety. Plus makes us feel better about our own blunders!

If the phrase "same shit, different day" applied to anything, it would be these new Korda videos. I'd rather watch an old one from three years ago. But, in fairness, hardly anyone is making decent carp videos anyway.

@yakmueller Жыл бұрын
I can't help thinking that releasing the lead every time you play a fish on a lake with a big head of carp or more likely bream is : (a) Going to be very expensive, a 3oz Korda lead is £2 a pop. (b) not good for the fishery with the quantity of leads being left on the lake bed. I appreciate that a low stocked, weedy lakes such as those found in the Colne valley are perfect for such a set up. However the vast majority of anglers watching this video will not be fishing such waters. These set ups are a great innovation but I am not sure they are ideal for a lot of anglers.
@djstarscream3 жыл бұрын
How many day tickets can you walk around looking for carp and jump straight into a swim 🙄
@lordamercy56093 жыл бұрын
The answer is NONE, not even syndicates . im a syndicate member on the lake darrell is fishing in the video and i can tell you that lake is NEVER like that , it was closed for a week for him to fish in the change over period we have for the new season each year. we dont allow drones either. i would imagine many people would be assuming that its a runs water after watching this too, but i can confirm that also isnt true.

What I don't understand is why people including Korda themselves are using leadclips if Heli Safe is capable to drop the lead? I understand the concept of bolt effect that is achieved by leadclips but exactly the same can be achieved with helicopter rig by having your top bead all the way down. Can anyone shed some light to me??? To me it seems like heli is all you ever need be it gravel or weed.

@@CG81-b1o I was messing about, but yeah they look alright. Just taking the Micky out the tackle forms that push “spring, summer, winter bait” thing. Sure oil spreads better in summer ect but it’s not a deal breaker, carp are dustbins 👍

I think all these different rigs components are designed to catch the angler , not fish. Basic course fishing rule of thumb is to use a weaker hook link than the mainline. Yet carpers flip that on its head , and use stronger end gear , than the mainline. If you snap , or tether a fish, then you always snap at the weak point . These crazy carp rigs snap behind the rig swivel leaving all that crap in the water or the fish . The zig rig is a good example of not needing heavy braid and all that unnecessary crap . Presentation seems to take priority over fish care . If fish care was priority then the weak point would be by the hook . These products are designed so the anglers loose components then buy more . All the under the illusion of fish care haha. If you're fishing using ridiculous end gear , then let's be honest, it's not for fish care . 15lb main, and a 12lb link is more than enough to land fish to 40lb . Snap at the hook , not behind the swivel lol. Dropping leads all the time ? Seriously? Good for the environment I suppose? It doesn't make you a better angler. If anything it gives a false sense of security. Look at the amount of rigs and leaders etc in trees . All I want to leave if u snag is a hook . I've still got the same leads I've had for the last 3 years. Running rigs , and weaker hooklinks is all you need lads . Dont get suckered in by sales pitches. Over kill
