Thank you for sharing make up tricks, they are very useful. I actually stopped to do make up for quite a long time because I felt like nothing works well anymore. Luckily somehow I “bumped” on your KZbin channel and here I am, enjoying myself. I named my make up time “play-time” and I really enjoy it again. One has to be more creative now with more wrinkles and less cooperating face features. But at the end it is like winning a battle... 😉 I would enjoy and it might be also useful if you could do make up with all your favorite products. I found this because you're featuring one of my favorite brands, Ilia! I'm a WOC and their foundation is an exact match (and I'm extremely difficult to to match), looks like skin and has a soft focus effect w/ medium coverage. I just 'love' those cosmetic ads that use 25 year old models to sell makeup & skincare for 'mature' skin. :-/ So true about the skin growing odd things as you age. Lol! I have one of those things in the middle of my lash line on my right eyelid. I just try to ignore it but it makes applying eyeliner a bit more challenging. I was told that if I had it removed, it would also permanently remove several lashes. I too love a more natural/skin like finish with both foundation and blush. I agree with you about face powder. It does wonders for deemphasizing pores and wrinkles by softening the finish. I'm going to try your tissue trick. Beautiful look Kerry Lou! :)

I know what you mean when you say you wish you could just go outside and bask in the sun. I used to love that feel and that look, too; but alas, we can’t do that anymore (or we shouldn’t). As we age and get “lighter” all around, a light touch to makeup (as you showed) looks better. I’m just a general all-over blue/gray ... my hair, skin, eyes. PS - I LOVE that lipstick shade!

Like all your viewers - LOVE your tutorials! Your honesty and humor is engaging and appreciated. I wonder if sometime you could explain layering with foundation/concealers/ etc. I see where some products say Layers well but I don’t understand how to use that to make the most of that feature. I have some dark spots that I’d like to blend in but they also have a different texture so the foundation ‘sits’ on those places differently. Thank you all you share with us!

I know what you mean about age spots, they “grab” pigment more than the rest of your skin does. Maybe smoothing some primer over the age spots would help us move them out before you apply your foundation. Kind of like spackling a wall LOL 😁. I should definitely do a video on age spots and how to deal with them, actually I have one short one, but I need to go more in depth. That could include layering, thank you for the suggestion! Hi Barbara, if you were looking for a highlighter that has no shimmer etc., I would suggest simply using a foundation stick, in a shade that’s lighter than your foundation. Trestique make a great stick foundation- Good luck! 👍🏻

I've heard so many good things about this line and you look gorgeous but anything you use you still look beautiful.Its your face. I broke down and couldn't take all this hair in the heat and humidity here in fl and went back to a pixie. Its easier for me but your hair looks fabulous. xoCathy

I have rosacea too. I have been wearing Clinique brand foundation for years but stopped because I felt like it actually made me look older. (I am 62) It definitely wasn't ideal for me. And I think I developed some sort of allergy to it because every time I applied it under & around my eyes, it would cause my eyes to burn and water. So currently I am not wearing any foundation. I am tempted to try your brand. It sure does look natural on you.

Glad you liked it! It's just a cheapy form Bed bath and Beyond, I believe its Conair. I need a new one, I'll let you know if I find anything great!
