I have a task to schedule and trigger a db call, and the data returned from this db call must be sent in batches to call a stored proc. How can I achieve this using spring batch with jdbc template?

How to log invalid records, that are failed before reading. Like if we use custom ItemReaders we may get chance to get exceptions before read

A*1*S B*2*d*r*d Hi, i have this kind of txt file. Based on the first column value of every record, i need to store the record in corresponding table. Means First record starts with A so i need to store this record in one table. Second record starts with B so i need to store this reocord in second table. Is it possible ?

HELP NEEDED I m not able to configure the datasource in intelij 2017.2.5 (it cant autowire it and spring.datasource.url) but in this tutorial their is no such problem with datasource (which version of intellij is this or this is no such problem in linux or it only exists in windows version)

It would be great if we can have ItemReader for MS Excel files as well.

MS Excel offers an option to export a sheet as a csv file, this is the best option if you have to work with excel files. If you must have an item reader for excel files you can write one yourself. Just implement the interface ItemReader, google it to find the java docs for it. Good luck, excel files are a nightmare and a half to work with. You are significantly better off export the excel files as a csv file and working with that.
