I think the mini skirt over trouser trend only works in a modern context when the style and color of the skirt and trousers are matching. Back when I was in school I wore skirts over trousers but in a totally crazy way like a neon tulle skirt over bootcut jeans or a bordeaux tennis skirt (which I had from when I played hockey) over black cargo pants. All these clothing items are popular individually at the moment but the way I wore them back then is definitely not on trend right now (and frankly back then it was also considered a bit odd).

And vintage shops but they’ll be cheaper online - if you go on my likes on depop you’ll see a bunch I’ve been founding and look at the words people use in the descriptions then have fun searching for that ~ and the more you search the more perfect your ‘for you’ page on depop will be at recommending random similar ones that you won’t have to bother searching for 🥰❤️❤️

Sadly that skinny body type dominates all social media where I find the mood board pics but am continuing to find more body inclusive girls so I’m not perpetuating this narrative which is so damaging!
