Knitwear will hold its shape much longer if folded on a shelf instead of on a hanger, the loops adjust so fast to the gravity and "pressure points" from the hangers, even with high quality. Love the video! :)

I have several portable garment racks from the Container Store, they’re great for changing out my wardrobe seasonally, editing, etc. They can be rolled into another room, if not overloaded, and fold flat when I don’t need them. I have to keep one up in my bedroom in the winter because that season’s clothes are too bulky to fit my small closet. I have no shelf space, so I hang my sweaters on padded hangers there during the season, then store them folded in zippered fabric garment bags for the other 8 months of the year, and they recover their shape.

@@EmmaHill 💯 and soo necessary. You’ve inspired me! I bought some things from Mango and discovered I don’t have a single spare hanger and can’t squeeze another item in. I do it slightly differently in that I gradually switch so I do 3 or 4 switches. I use boxes that slide under the bed as I hate going in the loft. I start with a clear out ie I only store things I will definitely want next year. I also bought a short rail which is so helpful for either outwear or ‘new in’ pieces. Or even better when I’m super ‘high functioning’ I’ll use it to plan a week of outfits so I don’t have to think at 7am on the school run (back tomorrow) and wear more variety. Now what to do with all this loungewear🤔........

Love your videos! Have you considered putting a rail in the loft? If there was room for a rail you could leave many of your items hanging now that you have garment bags for them. It would cut down on the amount of time and effort of the switchover and reduce wrinkles.
