I was a full time RDH for 16 years. I had to retire my license due to multiple chronic illnesses, nerve spasms,seizures, etc. I will say that I don't miss my coworkers or how hard dental hygiene can be on the body, but I do miss some patients, because I built up a rapport with them. Our office had an isolite and it made applying sealants so much easier.
