My local liquor store is selling Springbank 15 for $263 + 10.25% sales tax. That's $290. Ouch.

Springbank is one of the best. It's original. Made in the city of where scotch started. Everything done by hand just to know the hard work by humans and not machines makes me enjoy it more. How it uses temperature to make color. Natural. Gotta love it. The fruit. The smoky. The wet band-aid. Oh the oaky. Your boy missed that citrus note. The taste is wide, intense with flavor and spicy. All in all I give it 95. I like how 3 of you do it. It makes sense. Not everyone has the same taste buds, for instant your boy lol. Great video. I'm going to pour me another cup of this Springbank 15. Stay up and gd luck.

I love Springbank but the prices in the US are bonkers. Pacific edge and the up charge. Crazy.

I paid $115 Cad in Alberta for the SB15. In Ontario it is along the same line pricing as where you are. I have seen a few H2H with SB15 and Glen Scotia 15 as Campbeltown shootout.

Great review. I love the S.B. 15. Yesterday I had the 10-Y and 9-Y Local Barley. They are all good but the 15 is the best for me

Springbank and Kilkerran has just hit SoCal with the new batches this week. Better move fast to get some. I got 2 CS 12's batch 23 all bourbon at Total Swine for $119.99

Given the positive review, I'd be curious to see what you guys think about Longrow Red. It's from the same distillery and each release is aged in a different red wine cask. It's also double distilled instead of 2.5x distilled, so it doesn't shave off as much of the flavor in the distillation process, it's more heavily peated, and bottled at cask strength. Of the 2 releases I've tried, I definitely prefer the 11 Year aged in Pinot Noir casks, but the 13 Year aged in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon Casks is still good too.

So I don’t think macallan is what you should be comparing, but at that price you have some options. Glenmo 18, glenlivit 18, glendronach 18 for a few bucks more.

I'm enjoying my first SB, the 10 year. Lots of da Funk. Local store has the 15 for under 100. Laughed out loud wjen Dutch had to adjust the total after Dillon changed, made me think of the old, frequently malfunctioning clickityclack calculator from 3 or 4 years ago. CHEERS!

Good stuff guys. I love the Springbank 10 but unlike most wasn’t crazy about the 12yr cask strength. Cheers!

Am I crazy or is the Springbank "funk" found in Highland Park as well? This 15 reminded me of HP15
@clintondeabreu85653 жыл бұрын
Dutch is one of the few whisky fans that dings Springbank for its “FUNK”, as we all know, whisky is highly subjective. 😋 Agree with Dillon, it’s a balanced whisky for the adventurous whisky sipper. Have your back Dillon. 💪🏼

On the topic of scotch, I was thinking earlier today that it would be fun if you reviewed Dimple Pinch. That's the blended scotch Walter White drinks in Breaking Bad. I think it's a bit hard to find but I'm curious about it

Looking back at this video makes me wonder if you’re scoring would have changed ?. I still have an unopened bottle.

the 15 year 2020 is better than the 2019 or 2018. Buy from UK and it is less than $100 and that is with shipping cost factor. I paid less than $96 a bottle for my 2020's and of course I bought 2 as usual.

SB15 was what sent me down the springbank rabbit hole. Recent 15s sadly not quite as good.

Batch variation is a thing for sure at Springbank, but that's part of the charm. My last 15 (which I found pretty poor, honestly) was about half as dark as yours... The 18, 21 and 25 are up front about having different cask recipes every year, sometimes twice in the case of the 18. Ditto the 12CS. I feel like you need scale for year-on-year consistency, and that's one thing Springbank doesn't have. On purpose. =)

Why won´t Dyllan try with water? You will never truly be able to know and judge a whisky without experimenting with water.
