I'm not a youtuber, but I haven't seen any videos online going over this. I show a couple ways to make the light attach to your firearm. Thanks for the vid! It was driving me nuts trying to fit my Baldr Mini on the Hellcat. Same issue. The rail adaptor is too tall... or rather, the slot in the hellcat rail section is not deep enough.

@@joewilkey I just ran 50 rounds through her. The sights are awesome. I easily held less than a 3" group at 15 yards at a fairly fast string of fire. As for as the FDE.....that is the color they had. It looks nice but, I would have got black if it was in stock and cheaper. They did have an FDE none optic version. 50 bucks cheaper but I said what the heck and went for it. It was like 600ish for the one I got.

Just got my Hellcat and my PL-Mini 2. Turns out, it's a Springfield issue, not Olight. 1913 Picatinny is supposed to be consistent in size across the board, the width of the locking slot is supposed to be .206 in. Olight's 1913 adapter is within .01 of that size. Springfield's slot however, is .043 too narrow. I even tried the adapter on my full size XD and found the same results. Contacted Springfield customer service and they couldn't tell me anything about tolerances (go figure). I'm a machinist and can easily fix the problem, either on the adapter or the pistol frame, my worry is for other customers. So, big heads up to anyone buying this weapon + light combo. It requires modification.

@@KLP368 I took a little off the top of the 1913 adapter that came with the light and made the slot on the pistol frame a little wider.

I'm not sure who changed their specs but my pl2 mini fit out of the box with the Glock rail. I got my pl2 mini in November of 2020

Don’t use just the screws. I use the screws only and I had a hole under the picattiny rail. I send it back to Springfield and replace the frame. I am glad it’s fixed but it cost me $145 plus tax.

I have everything recorded. I even saw them the invoice, and I will never buy another olight product. I will try to avoid buying as much I can Chinese product.

You're welcome. Mine has been fine so far. Light gets dirty like any light would. But it's easy enough to clean. I own my own business as a private firearms instructor and shoot several times a week. So it's had a few rounds through it for sure 😄

Greta review man. I have a subcompact xd9 for some reason I tried all your techniques. I took the GL out and the screw. I tried to mount it on but it seems that the left side is not in all the way and I can’t latch it. It seems lopsided. Not sure if anyone has this issue. Should I return and get a new one? Many it’s a manufacturer thing?

You actually don't have to send down the screws. If you sand down the slots that the screws go into. You can leave the screws untouched. That's what I did. Either way works. Thank you!

Yes, you can use just the screws, It's not as secure as filling down the block. Block and screws come with the light.

I used the Glock bracket and shot over 150R and it never came off. Just got back from the range today 1/5/21 put another 120R through it and it stays on. You may be over thinking things.. But I will say, as much as I love the Hellcat, I shot it next to my M&P Shield 9 2.0 and the Shield shot much, much softer and way more accurately. You don't believe me? go test for yourself

Thats great. They must have fixed the issue with the light. I've had both guns. My hellcat is more accurate for me than my shield. It's great that we have options to find what fits us individually.

I'm running a holster from concealment express with a wing and tuckable clip. This one I didn't get with a light. My next one will hold the light. One of the guys in the comments mentioned a holster brand that does the hellcat with a light.

No way I'd buy another Springfield. I already got rid of my Hellcat. The trigger safety was dangerous. It would not disengage properly. Even with good finger position. Springfield ignored the problem.
