If you have a Hellcat and don't have the Apex Trigger enhancement kit in it, you got to get it. Smoother and lighter take up, and the break is a very smooth rolling break unlike the gritty break of the stock trigger. And I'm almost 2,000 shots into this Hellcat since I installed the Apex Trigger 4 months ago and it has gotten so much smoother since then. The Apex Trigger is definitely a keeper 🙂

Maybe you got a bad Hellcat trigger. That does happen with manufacturing tolerance variances and failure by manufacturers to properly inspect the finished gun. My Helcat had a poorly designed drop trigger safety, which I had to modify. If I pulled the trigger with my finger not perfectly centered on the trigger, the drop safety would not release and I could not pull the trigger. Not a safe situation especially with a self defense gun. Again poor design and failure to identify the issue by Springfield, who finally figured it was an issue and they redesigned the drop safety to work properly. Had a Ruger with a bad trigger and a friend had the identical gun. His stock trigger was good and mine was bad. My Hellcat had a good stock trigger pull and the Apex trigger kit made little to no measurable or feel differences, especially for the $80 cost. However there was no drop safety trigger safety issues with the Apex trigger and as I stated in the video, I liked the Apex trigger shape much better than the stock trigger. My experience was the Apex trigger made very little improvement for the cost.

Looks like a gen 1 stock trigger so keep that in mind when comparing. The gen 2 is supposed to be heavier pull.

It appeared to me you may have miss-read your trigger pull on the Apex trigger on the HC... I thought it read 4.1.

Mine removed the "wall" it's a smooth pull all the way through almost like a nice hammer fired gun. I think I'm going to keep the shoe and put the factor spring back in. I like the wall and break.

@@rileyneufeld7001 didn't ever put it back in, I called apex and talked to them about it. Unlike a Glock the sear is engaged the entire time so you feel the resistance the entire pull until it releases. I kept the apex springs in and just tried to train with it more to get used to it.

You did not mark complete overtravel. Trigger continues even further back when you slide the slide and stops by hitting the frame of pistol.

The hyve monarch and patriot has adjustable pull and return. Better then the macab or apex.

S&W are not the guns they should be. Springfield Armory, in my opinion, beats them in Quality and Variety.

First they are not cheap. The Hellcat is well made, accurate, very compact, and easy to cenceal. I also own two M&P Shields (40 and 45), both are versions 2, and both are basically the same as the Hellcat, but just slightly larger. Bought the Hellcat for the 11+1 rounds, which was better than at the time since the Shields were only 6+1 rounds for the 40 and 45. The 9mm Shield at that time was 7+1. S&W now has the Shield 9mm Plus at 10 +1. I do not own a Sig P365, but have shot a few and they are known as great guns also.
