Spring Cloud especially the Netflix OSS libraries were created years ago before cloud native computing. With the K8S is mature, and most of Netflix OSS libraries are into maintenance mode, the K8S + Istio/Linkerd 2.0 would be the better choice to provide the cloud native features without involving app, such as service discovery, trace, circuit break and so on.
