Most people wouldn't take on something the sheer size of a LWB Sprinter van as a restoration project, before converting it to a camper. Most people buy something solid to start with. That doesn't mean there's nothing to be said for taking it on the hard way.
To support the project visit my website www.georgekare...
Thanks for watching.

Most realistic project car video out there: normal tools wielded by a gifted and exceptionally stubborn (and patient) craftman! It was at time anxiety-inducing but very satisfying in the end. George, A small gas blow torch is a quick and easy way to get rid of factory sound proofing as you can take it out in sections like you did with the chisel, BTW any idea when you might be able to get out to Austria as we talked about some while back, My Jaguar XK 150 should be back on the road in spring 2023 which I‘m sure you would like to drive along with my E Type and Mini Cooper plus the Gulf track mini. There are men who buy big garages and fill them with expensive tools, not knowing how they work or ever truly finding out. They produce nothing and the tools are eventually sold as the next fad takes over. Then there's this guy. He paints with a toothbrush, and bends steel with a battery and he produces new cars out of old rust and sheer persistence. Which guy do you want to be? Your videos are a lesson in creativity, and you are a poet with an angle grinder. It's a pity you can't weld with gold wire, as your repairs are like kintsugi. Lovng the channel, keep them coming 👍🇦🇺

Those guys are known as wankers and sadly they’re in no short supply. Content like this, however, is the antidote. I’ll take a repaired toothbrush-painted, battery-bent Mercedes-Benz shitbox (surely that’s a tautology…) all day versus the alternative and I’m sure you’ll agree.

When I first saw a Soup video the stop motion cuts and vibe of the edit had me hooked - so different to other car channels I sub to and a lot more... cerebral? You inspired me to take a more considered approach when working on my own project cars - at least some of the time... The first time I took a welder to a car to chop out a spot in the shell I couldn't believe how hard it was to do. If a job takes ten times longer to finish than expected, IMO the reward is that much sweeter. Cheers!

I've been following your projects for a good while now, really enjoying them and the video production is second to none! I've recently discovered spot weld chisels - it's a very thin chisel specifically for separating panels that are spot welded. Mine is a Sealey AK570 and it will make your job so much easier. They're not expensive, around £15 here but worth every penny.

Love your videos. I am doing similar work on a MK6 Transit. My problem was water entering the channels either side of the windscreen and ending in the footwells. Also, the sills were being rotted from the inside out due to sealant disintegration on the roof and joining of side panels.

It's nuts how the focus on sealing vehicles from the outside has resulted in them rotting from the inside instead. In so many cases.

I know your feeling of no return from my old VW LT 28. I repair one area at a time while I use it as an camper, which is not that often because of that but you give me new motivation to cut of a new spot of rust out of it 😁 PS: Love your editing
