Pearl Abyss has a strong aversion to making something enjoyable. Why can't they just let the horse run on water like it does on land and be able to sprint all the way from Velia to Port Ratt? Would it really break the game that much?

@@valkalily nah they have no reason, except that it's fun. the same way there's no reasoning behind why infinite pots can't be placed in family storage. first they were like it's a treasure item, then they turn around and introduce pity pieces (oh no that wasn't enough) then they introduce a weekly quest to guarantee you get the pieces. they have no sense

@@The_Musassin in my opinion, pities are a better option than grinding infinitely for an item that you might never get.. it's discouraging when you spend 100hours grinding for the piece and getting nothing out of it, this way at least you still feel some kind of progression

@@The_Musassin the pity piece system is in our favor. to support us. it makes a lot of sense. inf pots cant be placed in family storage bc it gives you a reason to continue to grind for more. to give you something to grind for, a goal. to play longer. while introducing the pity system to also make us feel like we are being rewarded for our grind, instead of spending multiple hours grinding with nothing to show for it. and as for the uni, they definitely do have their reason. they dont just throw out super epic rare mounts for no reason lol. everything they do is for us. even if you cant seem to understand their reasoning. thats a you problem. bc i can see clearly their reasoning for things like you mentioned.

Does the horse die if it runs out of water running? Can you stop on the water at all?

you can stop anytime you want. you can get off the horse and remount it anytime. if it runs out of water running, it just throws you off and sits there and you have to collect it with a flute or at a stable as you can see me doing in this video when it throws me off

It's seriously sad and funny that t10 dine, something vast majority dont want or care for, can only run on water for a few seconds before kicking you off and promptly dying or whatever if you don't get it back to land. What content even is there in the ocean to do that would even make you regulate it being infinite, PA? Shame because visually it looks cool. But has zero use. And honestly the pegasus is the same, so you can float in the air stationary or dive down faster, so what?

it doesnt die. its invincible when on standby in water. i take it to vell sometimes just to be silly lol. you can leave it there forever. nothing on water makes it die, no matter how long you leave it there. both t10s are useless though yes. theres nothing better that a t10 can that its t9 variant cant already do. except the one extra skill (hovering in air or walking on water) is useless yes. its all for flex of rarity and looks. same thing with like the orzeca outfit for example, serves no extra real purpose, just for looks and flex! i dont know why people insist on it being infinite running, like you said theres no content to really do on ur horse in the ocean that wouldnt make boats entirely useless, but i like running across water at least when traveling to take short cuts and make my trip much shorter and faster. so the 15 seconds i get is just perfect enough to run across a lake or creek in the way.

T10 pega is definitely not worth since it offers nothing better than t9. Same glide, same jump, with just a useless helicopter mode, speed dive that doesn't matter and a not much faster but very much more stamina consuming jump sprint that probably no one will use. Also the color is ugly af. At least t10 dine can let you go to sycraia without a boat if you want.
