why not just put 3 or 2 layers behind each other: 1 for flats, 1 for hills and one for dips. since there are 3 layers you can be a bit more lenient with the angles and make it less thick (altough it may still be too thick)

Add hydropneumatic suspension . That way you can depress the whole tank and still use your armor.

All of that decoration was only to cover up the ugly but almost impenetrable light armor, yes? That is why it's one of the most decorated tanks you created, yes?
