Another great video from our Vlad. Tenlevels lit the torch and Sundownersport continued to carry on his legacy. I had gotten rid of my two Miyoo A30 units, but now with this update, I ended up buying a black one just to keep in my collection. The work of these guys is amazing.

I ended up selling my A30 and just kept using my Miyoo Mini. There were some pros and cons with the device. The pros were the buttons, spruce os, pocketability and the ability to play some games above PS1. The cons was that the device would get really hot and was uncomfortable at times, it lacks vents to let out heat, often times it would slow down the device or freeze due to the overheating. Overall you should be ok up to PS1. I enjoy the Miyoo Mini more due to Onion OS and despite it being a micro handheld, it doesnt get hot to my surprise. Lastly i do prefer the horizontal design of the A30, but wished there was a better shell design. Even the button letters began to fade away.

Really hot? Did you play it inside a microwave? I play PSP games on mine and 'hot' is not a word that I would use to describe it. 'Warm' would be the closest and it was nowhere near uncomfortable.

A couple of things to mention, it depends on the device, but mine was hot in a way that was not tolerable for me. Anything up to PS1 was fine, however when trying N64 it did get hot after about 20-25 minutes. For some thats ok as they may use this for shorter periods of time.

That's an assumption on your end. I play PSP on mine for hours. If you say that this is a con, you probably should have done your research. The con is not the temperature; the con will be the build of your own device. Don't assume that it applies to every single Miyoo A30 out there. @@WillC1020

This is a pretty amazing update. Makes the A30 feel way more like the mini. Just the save state on power down option alone was all I really wanted. Love these devs!

I noticed that Spruce OS 3.0.0 heats up the device much more compared to version 2.3.0. Before, it didn't heat up so much in SFC games. The performance and image have improved a lot on the N64. I don't need to configure anything anymore. The temperature worries me, but in short, I liked it.

Hi Vlad, just wanna drop a note here that I still love the original Camera you used since long time ago, the skin tone and colours are more natural to me. the other 2 new ones really need some exposure or color balancing as you are constantly switching between them now. Thankfully for this video the switching is less distracting than previous few videos. Hope you don't mind my comments above, I know making these videos aren't easy work and I do appreciate your work. Thank you

I really love this Miyoo A30! I'm even one of the few players in the world who can master Zangief in Street Fighter 2 using only the digital D-pad on the small handheld console! I'll be testing the new update to compare the performance 😋

@@wooordwooord4712 my v1 Miyoo Mini was much loved but it's been living in the back of a drawer since the A30 dethroned it. I never took the MM anywhere because it's so fragile, whereas the A30 is so cheap and durable, I don't feel bad throwing it in a bag or pocket without a case.

Yeah, you're able to adjust the luminance, hue, saturation and contrast but I find the colours to be perfect at their default settings. Overall the display looks fantastic.

Does installing spruce fix the problem with the speaker/amplifier staying on when volume is set to it's lowest? Surely the amplifier staying on impacts battery life. The only solution I can find is plugging in the usb headphones adaptor 😤

I have a problem. DraStic on Spruce 3.0 completely stopped recognizing the joysitck. Doesn't matter if I set it to D-Pad, stylus or whatever. Also tried using the unbricking image, apply the wifi update again and fresh installing Spruce OS. It just won't work and I don't know what to try anymore..

I still prefer MinUI on this device, especially because the performance of the devices doesn't really justify having those extra cores and options. Having the "fake hibernate" means I'll probably try this out anyways.
