Those cheat motion plays aren’t OP. This is the first year madden has had cheat motion plays so I can tell you now that the game isn’t coded properly for the defense to guard it properly.

Dime just means the defensive formation has six defensive backs. Dime Normal is a specific formation with Dime personnel that is perfectly symmetrical with four down linemen, two slot CBs, one MLB, two outside CBs, and two safeties.

@ there’s 4 ways you can shade your defensive zone coverages. Overtop, underneath, inside and outside. I tend to shade outside since corner routes and out routes are OP. If im playing the dolphins or someone with a fast WR I’ll shade overtop so I don’t get burned on a fly route. I also shade overtop when I run a man blitz so my safeties don’t get burned. Just depends on your opponents tendencies. Once you get the pre snap audibles down and memorize that shit you can set your defense up fast. When I come out on Defense I instantly shade outside and double click RB or R1 to set my d line on QB contain which helps limit the plays who like to go outside of the pocket. Also say you come out in a cover 3 hard flat defense, if you shade overtop it’ll change that hard flat to a cloud flat or a curl flat. Your best defensive adjustment is to base align your defense and set your QB option to conservative. I only change my curl flat to 25 if it’s a 3rd and long or 4th and long but the default zone drop shaded outside does pretty well

@@Jmosisanother word you can use to replace shading to understand is cheating one way or another. If you shade your db’s up your cb are gonna press for slants. If you shade them back they’re expecting a deep pass. So forth and so on
