SPSS - Paired-samples t-test (2 of 2) - creating a bar graph

In this video we produce a bar graph of results from a paired-samples t-test with appropriate error bars. By default, SPSS gives you error bars which assume that groups are unrelated, which is not true for this design.
(In the previous video, we used SPSS v21 to conduct a paired-samples t-test (a.k.a. dependent t-test or repeated-measures t-test). We also tested for normality.)

Nice video, but it doesn't have to happen in this way. SPSS is now at version 24, costing hundreds of $ per year. Why it can't get the simple stuff right? why still lacks critical functions?

I agree that there are some things that should be in SPSS which still aren't, such as better support for computing effect sizes.

silla mir: That should actually be much easier than this involved process. You should be able to put your IV on the X axis (make sure it's nominal), your DV on the Y axis, and then click Display error bars as shown at this point in the video (5:57)
