I don't know what I expected but it wasn't poetry, philosophy and soulful soliloquy with dashes of delightful dialogue affirming the power of loyalty and friendship. In a Borderlands game. Also that scene with you and Gas zipping back and forth quipping in the distance with audio fade made my day. That was hilarious.

According to Lootlemon, the "Hard Point Damage" on Scorching RPM's is literally just skill damage. Also, that bonus is apparently applied twice multiplicatively, so instead of +25% at 5/5 you actually get +56.25%

Always nice to see one of your uploads; the little emotional monologues you give late into these challenge vids are really touching to me and some of my favorite parts, plus your voice is generally pretty relaxing compared to the other notable Borderlands challenge runners. Nice to see a collab with Gas too. Also, having Felicity mentioned hits a bit since I'm playing through Pre-Sequel for the first time in a while and forgot just how bad that part was when I reached it in my last play session; probably one of the most disturbing things in this series with how it ends. Does kinda make me hope that Borderlands 4 takes itself more around Pre-Sequel's level of seriousness for the story after going through it though since tone-wise I think that game probably balances the comedy and serious stuff best, at least of the main series (I haven't played either Tales game or Wonderlands, nor have I ever gotten around to playing 3's DLCs, though I have at least heard that said DLCs and Tales 1 are actually really good in terms of writing and story)

Well thank you very much! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy them! And I don't think I could agree much more. TPS had had such a solid tone. Of the main games in terms of story, it's my favorite. I can confirm that the DLCs in three are its high points, but the first Tales is by far the best story the series has to offer. Assuming you're up for a Tales game. I can't speak to the second, as I've yet to get around to playing it, but I haven't heard good things.

@@SpuddyCube I think that without engaging too much of my bias, I can describe the second Tales game as a sort of hyper-concentration of all the silly moments throughout the borderlands series, all thrown together and blended with no real decision-making past that. If you really like all the humour in the borderlands games... if you are a fan of Claptrap, all the toilet humour, Handsome Jack, bad puns, good puns, innuendo, completely unsubtle and blunt innuendo, caricature... then you'll probably enjoy Tales 2. But you'd pretty much have to be a fan of all of it because it's all so thoroughly mixed and really densely distributed. If any of it rubs you the wrong way, there's guaranteed to be enough of it at almost any point to put you off. For a more biased take, Tales 2 was really poorly written and probably the best argument for the phrase 'everything in moderation.' A character occasionally pulling out a meme to illustrate something can be funny and clever. A character that does nothing but reference memes is grating. A character that is flirty every once in a while can be witty and amusing. A character that does nothing but make references to their sex life/lives and innuendo is creepy. There might be two characters I can remember that didn't get thoroughly annoying ten minutes into their screen presence and unfortunately one of them only evaded that by just being really dull. The first Tales game was really good though; how surprising that a game that stakes it's entire existence on it's story being good enough to participate in should actually try to have a good story. The characters are memorable and distinct without getting obnoxious, and it says something that it was kind of disappointing that more of them didn't show up in future installments.

Bit of advice for anyone looking to try this challenge for themselves: A few of Moze's legendary class mod effects do apply to Dakka Bear. For instance, I'm 100% sure that you get the bonus corrosion damage from her Green Monster COM from the Jackpot DLC because I remember that when that DLC first dropped, people would make Dakka Bear meme builds with it due to the fact that the mounted gun can keep shooting indefinitely without overheating, reloading or running out of ammo. It also buffs Scorching RPMs so that's neat. I think Mind Sweeper might actually work with it as well, but I'm not entirely certain. Might be worth trying though, because it would let you dip into all of Moze's splash damage bonuses, significantly improving how much damage you are able to put out with the mounted gun.

I know this isn’t really the type of comment that is common on KZbin. Honestly this was a fun video. The collaboration was neat. The often switching perspective within the scope of this challenge kept it somewhat fresh. The “footage by…” segments were a really good touch! (Example that carnivora fight) I do wish there’d been a wee bit more conversation between you and gas, but I understand the difference between post process commentary and in game banter. Overall this was a solid experience. A bit unique too given in solo it’s impossible. Thank you for this video.

Hard Point Damage refers to the damage of Iron Bear's "Hardpoints" i.e. the guns you can swap in and out from your mech in the skill menu. No, I have no idea if Dakka Bear counts as one of these.

I was playing bl2 today and found a challenge you might "love"! Have you ever tried to play bl2 split screen by yourself! Its so FUN and definitely not incredibly hard to manage both simultaneously! (Rules would be #1 both characters alive at all times #2 both characters need to be in the area before you can do any damage to any boss #3 no companions (no deathtrap no turret) #4 make a good faith effort to utilize both characters during any fights Good luck and apologies in advance

I only tested digistruct peak op 1 challenge with krieg and mia spamming action skills on cool down with shotguns, spike shields, and a lot of healing (and attempts) as a sanity check for the idea. No idea if the whole game would be possible.

And likely a fair bit harder to juggle, but my buddy has done a lot to make it even somewhat possible for me to broach. Time will tell how that turns out, as I'd like to begin working on it soon.

Hard point damage refers to the equippable weapons on Iron Bear. The miniguns, the railguns, grenades, etc.

If that's the case, then it shouldn't buff Dakka Bear. Other skills that specifically buff those things like Really Big Guns don't, and they refer to Iron Bear/Iron Cub damage.

Hard point damage is the damage from Iron Bear's arm waepons. The weapons themselves are referred to in one other place as "hard points."

I can't say I was able to locate any other place it says that. Regardless, even in the same skill card, it doesn't list a numeric value for any "Hard Point Damage." It lists "Iron Bear Damage." Same as Stainless Steel Bear, Really Big Guns, and Feature Creep. And of those four skills, only two affect Dakka Bear. One being Scorching RPMs, which would be inconsistent with it referring to the swappable weapons.

I have once during the Mail run, and while it was fun in some ways, it was also a really large time sink. I tend to prefer playing the base game in whatever it is I'm doing anyway, so committing to a lot of extra content both on the front and back end doesn't feel great.
