Thanks for the video and teaching how to heat quartz for easier crushing for sampling. Just one of many very useful tips I've learned from your channels. Hand crushing some hard quartz rocks aren't fun for the hands.

Gold can be anywhere go look at my latest short and you’ll see a 7.2 gram gold nugget that came from a deteriorating asphalt parking lot in the middle of a giant city that’s 99% asphalt and concrete. It was run through a commercial rock crusher and has crusher marks on one side thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

Them chunks of quartz you had at 6:26! Do you ever run the detector over them in case there is a sample?

Nice. I find sporadic gold spots intriguing lol. I’ve done 10-15 pans in a row with nothing. Then bam a 1.1 gram nugget. Then nothing again, then a .15 picker lol. I have worked it for a while and still can’t read it properly. Lol.

That's where you need to take a pulse induction machine like a 4500 or similar. I take both the Gold Monster and my 4500 every trip. I use the 4500 primarily then to for fine stuff when I find a area or patch . With pulse induction machine you can filter out unnecessary ground noise. The VLF machines are awesome for small stuff.

(Chris MUST READ THIS) I watching your bit on the big lump of clay material in your pan and it just struck me, you could take that in a 5 gallon bucket with some water and a say..... foot long kitchen whisk, and just break that clay down in no time at all..... free tip. love all the tiny gold you find !
@trevdyer1732 жыл бұрын
It may be a great idea and it may work well. But chris usually hikes a fair way from his car and it is essential to keep weight to a minimum so it wouldn't be practical to do on the creeks nor wouldn't be practical to carry clay out to test at home for the minimal amount of gold that it contains as explained at the 3 minute 30 second mark of the video

You ever worry about Fern getting bitter or stung by something? I'm not an expert on Australia but they say that everything there is trying to kill you lol. Stupid question but as a dog father I worry about my guy when hiking

She gets bitten all the time by bees, ants, bugs etc. At this point she's basically immune. She's also snake aversion trained so nonworries there
@MrJudder4132 жыл бұрын
@@SpudEngineering awesome on the snake aversion. I live in Massachusetts USA and we have rattel snakes but they are very rare. Thanks for the answer back man. Just binging you videos. Found you through Klesh and love your content. Look forward to your videos!

Thought. Why not dump into bucket instead of panning? Maybe use classifier for the sake of eliminating weight. Then take material back through wash? Or bring a small sluice, then bring concentrates back with? Idk maybe I'm showing my lack of experience, but, it seems like you could get through more material in a shorter timespan. And of course, if you just wanted to hit this spot with minimal materials for the video, I get that, too. Props on the 100 pans vid tho. Looked like one hell of a workout lol
