I remember upon first viewing of the show, I liked Kennedy. I was surprised when I saw that many fans had a negative reaction, because she was very supportive and loving of Willow, which is what I wanted to see after how much she suffered.

It is so sad that Iyari was so excited for finally getting a role on a Whedon show, only to face such an unfortunate fan reaction. She was great. And Amber, too.

It is a shame the reaction was so negative because when you hear Iyari talk aboit her time on the show and also the effect the role has on her personally it's clearly incredibly important to her. She is so lovely and if people saw past the character and instead looked at her role it would be great

@@moonlogic1986 Tara was a tough act to follow so I do understand why it was so hard for people, but the character had its place. Just seen a tweet where someone slags off the last season and actually tagged her saying how crap she was, so uncalled for & achieves nothing. Would loved to have been at this talk.

@@moonlogic1986 because it was a forced character, climbing too fast as a main character because the script say so. She was rude with buffy the main hero and her script make her say the "cool" thing. Annoying as fuck. Tara in the other hand, its one of my fave characters of all. She start slowly as a secondary character or even less, and little by little being more important and making us love her as one of the best.

I think if Kennedy hadn't have played a love interest of willow people would have accepted her far more. But Tara was a loved character from the start. However, Iyari never deserved the crap and hate she got from playing the role.

I didn’t like Kennedy for Willow bc it was unnecessary for her to have a serious love interest in season 7. I would’ve rather seen Willow get back to being Buffy’s best friend. That said, Kennedy as a character gets way too much crap from fans. She wasn’t a terribly written character, just underwhelming/boring. She got a lot of screen time for a one dimensional character that doesn’t seem to develop. To the ppl saying she didn’t have time to do so, Buffy had a bunch of interesting one season characters

I love seeing these 2 together! I'm so sorry a lot of people hate Kennedy. I never did,even if I miss Tara *fiercly* and I will forever believe she was Willow's True Love(proof being"Tabula Rasa").💞 #Justice4Kennedy 🖤

I love both Amber and Iyari but unfortunately I’m part of the Kennedy hate train. I loved Tara so I think I more hated the fact that Willow had a new girlfriend but not the character herself. I think anyone that Willow ended up with after Tara I wouldn’t have liked. I mean Iyari did a great job as Kennedy I just didn’t like the fact that she was with Willow

It sad that her character was sooo damn shitty and she should definitely be pissed off at the writers. She couldn’t really act to me, but that’s more of a personal thing, shitty writing is hard to pull off.
