I have a 2006 BMW Z4M and would like to buy a Z3M roadster. I think I would rather have the S52 in that the early S54 had rod bearing issues, and too much power for the chassis. Enjoyed the video.

Great summary thoughts on a great car! I have a ‘98 in Estoril Blue with the black & blue interior and only 42k miles. I think that aside from the Z8 these cars have the best retro/modern interior of any modern BMW convertible. The exterior and overall size and weight of the car are spot on and this and the E46 are the last best examples of analog BMW driver’s cars. So glad I got one!

I’ll just go ahead and totally agree with you with the exception of the m2 competition which if you see my other videos i have owned and fell completely in love with from a drivers car perspective. Thanks for sharing your comment and thoughts. Enjoy your Roadster.

great talk about a great car, I bet that drive up from SC (where the car was made in America) was a fun one! Im in SC and I have the same one as you, they are getting more and more hard to find in decent condition.

Hey there, thank you for your message. I actually flew down into Jacksonville and used a rental to get me to SC. Picked up the 1989 1.9L and drove over to a hotel. When i went to sleep the car was red. Woke up it was green from all the pollen lol 😆 The drive back was relaxing I stopped in a few places including Washington. Congrats on your car. Hope you enjoy it in good health always.

I had the 1.9 it’s a lot of fun. If you’re looking to save a bit and want to go for a 1.9 don’t worry. These are tinny cars. You will have fun regardless. But if budget is not an issue 3.2 with wide body looks sexy. ;)
