This kinda fits in with what Shaq said about dominance...

Wemby is Robin because he can't create his own shot.

He is good defensively. There are several young centers who can potentially match Wembanyama in some aspects, such as Edey, Holmgren. If he is that good, the Spurs would have been playoff team every year, like Duncan's and Robinson's Spurs. Robinson was smooth shooting midrange, but there were some very good centers in the 80s, 90s. Duncan had defensive help from Bruce Bowen to contain Kobe. That was the real 3 and D guy , didn't score a lot. Wembanyama has advantage shooting 3 pointers, because few players can guard that. The problem with the Spurs is the lack of size behind Wembanyama or elite rebounders. Collins is a 7fter, but he gets posterized. He is back up to Wembanyama. He can pass and won a few games when Wembanyama was injured. Sochan is fairly athletic, but he is out injured. The Spurs forwards and centers are at the 6ft 8 range. Barnes 6ft 8, Mamu 6ft9, Bassey at 6ft10. I think the Spurs are undersize at the PF position. Wembanyama is switchable to the PF position. The Spurs can bring in a legit center. Castle is good. He is a point guard that is playing in another position as Chris Paul is playing at point. They have Vassell who has the biggest contract, so he needs to score. Spurs fans need to stop with the area 51 thing. You can't depend on just 2 players to win games. Keldon johnson is proven to be a scorer. Champagnie is a scorer too of 3 pointers. But I suspect they can't defend efficiently enough. Castle can defend but he is scoring more than defending. They didn't sign Barlow. Barlow is not a 7fter, but have some defensive skill. Bassey had an injury before. Barlow is also injured recently. In short, the Spurs can improve at the center or power forward position. Haven't seen Minix play yet. If Champagnie has scoring drought, maybe put Minix in.
