i think it's because this wasn't ever a vocalist-driven project. they had a specific sound in mind from the start and aren't going to switch gentes because a new guy entered the picture. it's almost like the vocalist is hired for a role and they better fill it

@@hermitgreenn but the vocals do play a really specific role in TTV, which makes it so surprising that the identity remains. Look at Skyharbor: once Daniel Tompkins left, the band sounded nothing like they used to and became far more generic, even though the new vocalist has a great voice (and almost inhuman range).

@@Mmmmilo That was such a shame, dude! Guiding Lights was a masterpiece of an album, and, in my opinion, was Daniel's prime work. When he left and I heard the Evolution demo with Eric, I was like "wow, this new singer is impressive", so it was really a bummer when the songs started sounding a bit meh. The only one I was really into was Out Of Time. Coincidentally, I think the chorus of Out Of Time sounds a lot like the chorus of Vibrant, by TTV

WOW. It's so impressive how this band lost their lead vocalist, had to get a new one, then lost that one and had to get ANOTHER, and still ended up keeping the sound that I loved them for on their first album! I can really tell how much the band cares about their sound as well as expanding it in this song. New lead vocalist is awesome, and I love the way keyboard is incorporated here. I really hope to see more heavy moments like this as well as those beautiful slower moments from the first release. Excellent song!
