I mean, if there was some other guy moving in on Yor like they're asking then it would just reinforce Loid dropping the family after the mission. At this point in the story it would do more to block progress and/or make things muddled.

place yourself in nightfall's place. you will feel bad for her. imagine liking someone for years , dont developing any love interest cause that exact person told you spys cant have those feeling, and seeing that same person changing bit by bit and starting to have genuine feeling for another girl whom he met just like a month ago for mission purpose. exactly thats why her character started to grow on me alot more cos of how relatable she is, one sided love is always hard to have and the fact she has to suppress those feelings as a spy but also bcos she doesnt wanna hinder loid. Its just unfortunate timing on her part and I really hope she finds her peace by the end of the series.

I've been in nightfall's place and was even in a position to advise the guy I liked not to go through with the relationship but it wasn't my place to intervene so I let it happen. I don't feel bad for her. This is a mission she is trying to intervene on so yep, whether Loid's developing feelings or not, the handler has already warned not to do anything and yet she still managed to intentionally hurt Yor's feelings.

It's not about handler's orders or hurting Yor's feelings. It's basically not fair that all of a sudden her teacher that teach all of the spy things like hiding emotions, love, not able to have family and so on now has been breaking his rules. For years of developed, hidden deep love only to be destroyed completely with a family spy mission and random woman. She waits to war to end to confess. Only if there wasn't a war, there wasn't a spy rules, they weren't spies. Still, Yor and Loid doesn't have romantical feelings for each other, for now, it is slowly developing. Her only ambition has taken away that is impossible to be taken away from her because Loid couldn't love truly someone, or show it as well as a spy. There is only one mission that could do the otherwise and it happened to him. Fiona's actions may be harsh but she just wants to be with him, and being in love as a second to best spy was hurting her, seeing the best spy, her love acting like that is just doubling it. It doesn't need to be justified because it is not fair to begin with. I think, there is no one to blame in the end, Yor, Loid or Fiona. It's just sad.

most overlook it since the main character must end up with the other main character shennanigans EVEN IF IT IS LITERALLY EXPLAINED IN DETAIL that the other character has known the main character for LONGER and invested WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than the other one.

Yor has a strong tendency to hit people when she gets embarrassed and nothing seems to embarrass her more than romance. Given how strong she is, I think it's fair to say that most would be suitors who approached Yor before Loid showed up just got a concussion and never tried again (if they survived that is).

one thing I always found reasonable about the slow burn was also that a year hasn't even passed yet for the mission. Of COURSE it takes some time for their walls to crack and their true feelings to surface.

It's all about Anya not appearing in Nightfall's delusions. What Loid needs is Anya's mother, not her wife. I think she implies that her ambitions will fail when Anya doesn't appear in her delusions.

it's so sad that everyone immediately hates on nightfall for no reason at all, like it's obvious yor and loid are gonna be endgame so i don't see why people think she's gonna mess the relationship up or ruin anything, plus i feel bad for her because she knew loid first and fell for him but couldn't tell him because he himself taught her that she should hide her feelings :( i hope we get to see her again and maybe she'll get a love interest of her own or finds happiness in another way

@@kk_sj3635 yeah but like i said, yor and loid are obviously gonna be endgame so whatever "damage" nightfall does will be easily overturned and fixed by loid (which did happen in next episode) so like there's no reason to truly hate her bc we know they end up together, i mean never in the history of romance has a love triangle ever ended up affecting the original pair lol. plus even though nightfall was harsh on yor which i agree with, what she did was still understandable considering she loved him and desperately wanted to be with him even if it meant taking yor out of the picture

I don't think that just because Yor and Loid are "endgame" matters when it comes to why people dislike Nightfall. Regardless of her success, it's the fact that she tried to break them up that initially makes her unlikable. She is supposed to be disliked for the fact that she goes out of her way to ruin something just because she loves Loid, and then you figure out why exactly she is the way she is, which makes her more sympathetic and likable.

if you pay attention it's usually girls the ones hating her right away, and that's because they've been in yor's position before where a girl wants something with a dude already in a relationship, it's more female solidarity than "not understanding the character"

I don't know why alot of people hate nightfall, like seriously I find her the most innocent person in the love triangle. An assassin who's using the family to continue assassinating, a Spy who's using the family to assassinate a political opponent, then a Spy who wants to help the first Spy simply because she wants to play the role of his wife and maybe also assassinate the political opponent but that's clearly second to her desire to play the role of a wife. From how I look at it, Nightfall is simply the more innocent of the 3. Look at it this way, A woman falls deeply in love with her instructor who teaches her all she knows about their line of work, emphasizing the point of not gaining deeper emotions with others while working. Then that same instructor gains deeper feelings for another woman after a few months of being with her. It's honestly more surprising that Nightfall has no hate or resent to loid for going against his own teachings and not just any teachings. teachings as complex as dealing with emotions, and the current one being love no less. Anyways it's clear Loid will end up with Yor, I just don't like seeing innocent characters being hated/shunned. Just to clarify this is just my opinion, I am not a critic but if you (the reader) have different views or actual counter arguments other than insults and shaming I'd like to hear them.

Fiona doesn't show her feelings and just kinda expects him to fall in love with her because of her spy capabilities. And then she tries to break up the family essential to the mission. That's why she tends to be annoying. It's not about who fell in love with Loid first. 😐 Also she'll be a good wife to Loid but not a good mother to Anya. And Anya is the key piece to Operation Strix. So yeah, no. She is a sad character. It would be difficult to find romance for her outside her work because of its secretive nature. But I hope she moves on from Loid and find someone else.

But that's not a reason to not like her, especially since she's loved him for way longer, and not only hasn't had the chance to express it, but she lacks the ability to. Look at the most liked comment on this video. It's about how people understand Nightfall, and how how she's acted is understandable, and maybe even relatable. Is it selfish? Well, love is selfish. You don't want the person you love to be with someone else. And, in a way, it is for the mission. At least she sees it that way, and explains the things she could do to help the mission along. Is it a good thing in the end? Perhaps not. But that's no reason to bash her left and right because of her feelings. There's nothing valid about that.

He does not have romantic feelings for Yor but he sees her and Anya as more than just parts of the mission. Fiona literally says she can see genuine emotion behind the smile, so Loid cares about both Yor and Anya on a personal level. There wouldn't be any genuine emotion if he just looked at them as essential mission components.
