I have the native 5 in maxamet and the manix in S110V then a UK/PK in S90V & another in N690 plus quite a few others but my fave beater is the native 5 ya just cannot hurt or kill these things especially in maxamet lol

Nice review! Could you maybe do something of an overlay when there are multiple knives/ steels on the screen. It's hard to remember all the steels especially when I'm not familiar with a knife. I would also love to see a rust test on something steels like X50CrMoV15, SG2, Aogami or other steels that are more typical for kitchen knives in general. (should you have access to any of those that is)

I can tell this vid was made awhile back. S90V most definitely cuts longer than M390 does. Pete hadn’t “unleashed” the steel yet.

I couldn’t place what knife that was with VG-10, but I’m curious if that’s really VG-10 (looks Chinese?). The S35Vn Kizer has a somewhat polished appearance, it seems, which certainly helps it resist corrosion.

+Matthew Tesar yeah its a tormek t4. I use a worksharp for my test edges, big blades and recurves, and sometimes freehand stones for scandi grinds

Awesome review and awesome video as always... I think the native platform is probably a little too small for my tastes but I love the design so I always kind of want to try one out... Or the sage 5. I just posted a review of a we knife and it would be awesome you can check it out if you get the chance, I believe it's my best work so far... And I'm trying to get better with each video. I like the Native but can't come close to a 4 finger grip behind choil. I agree, the S35VN is good enough. I want no part of that non rust resistant, hard to sharpen Maxamet shit.. No thanks. No S90V either.. Good review
