One of the best, most thorough videos, I’ve ever seen on a Spyderco knife, and I’ve watched a whole lot of them. Thanks for such great work!!

Hi Everyone! This knife the Yojimbo series especially the 2 model is great. Super sharp; medium weight and the lock is solid. I bought 4 of these knives 3 in the pocket knife version and one that does not fold. My opinion is that I love this knife, you can trust this knife with or without gloves.

Love this knife. The pivot action is crazy smooth, like bearings. Not sure why my military can't feel like this. Owning this has really changed my opinion on wharncliffes, for regular use, I find it does most things better than normal blade shapes. It's penetrates much better and follows through the cut better than trailing tips. I sit here wondering why most knives have trailing tips. Seriously, how often do you use the belly of a knife? Maybe to carve wood but when do you do that? Even cutting food, wharncliffes just cut better.

I am a Spyderco fan. And I think, the Yojimbo shows some really fine details, specifics and nice matching lines that quite a few Spydercos miss. And compared to other knives on the market … no, I do not go there. Spyderco does many things right (except current price policy). And I love me a good Wharnie blade.

Love that they also blacked out the liners, wish Spyderco would do that with all their blacked-out knives.

I prefer the clip on this Yojimbo over the Manix 2 wire clip for example which only utilizes one retention screw and is flimsy to say the least. Especially in comparison to more traditional style pocket clips which utilize three mounting screws or two.

Nice blacked out knife blade & handle ,I prefer the blacked out one. But dude you gotta get some Cold Steel in the mix and cold steel is a term for Edged Weapons such as Knives ,Swords, War Axes and Bayonets ect. Actually any blade used or designed for combat or war is cold steel. So Cold Steel the manufacturing company makes hands down the best cold steel. Michael Janich is a excellent instructor and designer of knives and I'm getting a Yojimbo 2 & YoJumbo someday soon.

Good video. Wondering why you prefer a flat grind. Sounds like you don’t hard use your knives. A hollow grind will cut better do to being thin behind the edge. Also it stays thin longer where a flat gets fatter every time it’s sharpened. Just interested in your opinion. Thanks
@ThePocketPerspective3 жыл бұрын
Hey Scot, thanks for the comment. Hollow grinds do stay thinner as you move up the height of the blade, but they also come up to full thickness much quicker than flat grinds. This causes binding when cutting full depth in materials and gives an inconsistent feel when slicing through thick materials. If both style of grinds have the same BTE thickness, hollows will slice better in thin to medium materials and flat grinds will slice better in medium to thick materials. I also much prefer the looks of a FFG. Not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that I don't hard use my knives, simply because I prefer flat to hollow?
@scotpelletier76723 жыл бұрын
@@ThePocketPerspective Just based off past comments. The plus of a flat would be more stable edge.

Good review. I got my Yojimbo 2 from 5x5 combat solutions. I have the pickpocket and recluse Exo-ccessarys. It sits very deep in the pocket and it opens as I draw it. I have enjoyed the diffrence these accessories have on the overall feel and utility of the knife. Definitely recommend trying them on the Yojimbo-2 or the para 2.

Very cool. You remind of my friend Nick. Strong, solid character. Stay brave. Really enjoyed the video. Nice design but I prefer a different style of kali rather than mbc. Maybe to much going on in the handle. Is mbc your style of choice? Thank you.

Great video. Question; why is it you’re not a fan of the hollow grind blades? Mine just arrived today along with the 5X5 Combat Solutions Pickpocket for quick deployment right out of the pocket which I also have on my Spyderco Endura4 and love but either it’s just because it’s brand new and the blade is tight but I’m not a fan of how I have to push my thumb into the grooved grip to “dig in” and get to the spideyhole to flick out the blade, after messing with it it’s started to be a little painful. Also did you notice when you flicked open the blade that the compression lock pinched your skin? 🤷🏼♂️ Again great video. 👍🏻

Thanks for reminding me of it being on the heavy side.... I really like the design but the exposed carry and weight are what turned me away. Off topic but that shirt looks nice. Who made it?
