Great vid, I’ve also got the axb engine & had the head gasket done 5 years ago. You must’ve been pissed doing the head again & it not sorting the problem. Great work especially on your own as well as filming 👌🏻👏🏻

Great video, and really well explained too. Those pd130s are decent engines, had one in a fabia vrs that with good servicing did 180k and was still going strong with a map when I crashed it! Look forward to part 2

ive done this swap previously on a t5 with fabia vrs lump,your right with 150 ish bhp if its a 5 speed,going 6 speed is more involved but could take the 170/180 these can make,take note of lower crank sensor near gearbox end,make sure your pd 130 can take the plug it needs to use the t5 harness! just a fyi,be watching have subbed :)

Yeah swapped the crank sensors. No mods necessary on this block 👍. Engine is running lovely.

Hi, I've watched this a few times and you've made it look easy 🙂 i've gone and ordered an asz engine and about to attempt it on my T5, any chance you can provide part numbers of the gaskets required? Thanks
@SpyderLEE11 ай бұрын
I literally just used my reg to order the gaskets and ordered them for my original engine. They all fitted. 👍

Just found your page and thanks just rebuilt my gearbox and seems harder to put back together than taking out. Just a couple questions if you can what program do you use on your pc to connect to the T5? And I can seem to ding the sump connection plug is it on the harness from engine or does it run from the firewall. Cheers mate from Australia 🇦🇺

Ey up pal I'm doing the engine swap myself but I'm struggling what to do with the crank sensor ? Your help would be much appreciated.

Didn’t have to do anything with mine only swap the one on the Skoda engine out for the one off my vw. People talk about drilling the block and stuff but this engine I didn’t have to do anything. Everything I did is in these 2 videos.

I found out there was coolant in the oil sump & It was leaking from a dodgy sumpnut no smoke from the exhaust no bubbling expansion tank no oil in coolant.. it did overheat last week on motorway I pulled over & let it cool opened the cap.. I did the headgasket 3 year ago only done like 30,000 miles does it sound like headgasket gone again?
