I loved this so much as a kid for the soundbytes of the enemies gargling and making weird noises that he chose to sample. And if you play the level just right, the monster sounds kick in when you're climbing the giant volcano and at the apex of the level. The fist time I heard it I got scared and thought there was an actual enemy in the volcano that was going to come out.

I love this stage for its music, the names of the fauns I always found funny. Bippo, Loonie, and Chedda❤️ I love the name of this place. I just love everything about Magma Cone. I also sung along to the music in this stage just wondering what they were saying in it. It’s always fun to guess what they are saying.😋 the intro and outro or morbid but at the same time cute for that time in the 90s this is my childhood game also my favorite of the trilogy.

I'm 43 and still playing these games. Totally worth buying the digital versions for my PS3. I wish Sony would get off their high horse and start supporting backwards-compatibility. No reason the PS5 can't emulate PS1, PS2 and PS3 games using the actual physical discs (I still have hundreds) and it can already play PS4 natively.
