The Zigzagging glitch of Agent 9 is pretty easy to do (but hard to master). In 1st person, hold forward and L1 and mash R1 to build up speed (Release L1 and stop mashing ounce you've built up enough speed) In 3rd person, you do the same bu have to be holding 2 directions on the DPad (It doesn't work with analog) To do this jump specifically, you gotta make sure you stopped mashing and release L1 before you reach the wall and hit it only with the speed you've built.

The US ps1 disc which i have wasnt fixed because some of the soundtracks repeated throughout levels but these were the original soundtracks with the redone discs. I dont like these soundtracks really i prefered the repeated ones, you agree?

my fastest 117% play through is about 5 1/2 hours or so. I play this game to completion once every few years, So I end up missing things at times. I love this game so much. It's a huge bummer that we don't get any more 3D platformers.

Nitrofski used to play this game all the time on the ps1. but now i have it on the ps3, the epilogue will be unlocked once you attain 100%, even though a secret page on the atlas book will reveal to shows you how many skill points you found. after watching this whole speed run now i know the location of one of them which it was once you play agent 9 side mission with the ninjas, now i only need one skill point to get them all, the last one i need was in that tiki lodge level... ( other than the one that need you to smash the wall that contain the 3 1 up's inside it ).

+Gas Giant I assume you're talking about Flame-charging. Sparx doesn't actually get those gems, it's rather the charging mechanics that is applied to those gems. When you charge through something, whether it is a basket, a vase, a bottle or an enemy, its gem will home in to spyro directly. This mechanic is applied even if the charge is not what breaks the container or kills the enemy, and also works for some enemies that you cannot usually kill by charging. You can therefore use your flame, fireball and other hazards (mostly in Spyro 2), to break said container or kill said enemy. If you're charging close enough to where the gem spawns, it will be collected without further efforts. I hope this answered your question and if it didn't, please let me know and/or give me a timestamp of what your question refers to so I can answer it correctly.

How do you glitch Agent 9 to make him go faster?

Something about abusing how Agent 9 gains speed when starting a strafe. We basically hold L1 and mash R1 while holding forward or, if in 3rd person mode, a diagonal direction. DPad is prefered. This technique takes a while to master and it helps to keep in mind that you should stop mashing when you're going at a satisfying speed, as mashing for too long will make A9 run backward for a little while.

Well, what I use throughout the whole run on those baskets is called flame-charging. I basically charge right after flaming, so the gems the spawn out of the baskets (And some enemies) home in, just as if I charged it/them. Using that, I can charge the baskets from further and, therefore, save time over running through them. (I might have misread what you said, in which case I'm sorry)

Your Spyro skills are phenomenal (in my opinion, at least). Everything with the timing and execution of moves, and memorization of where everything exactly is.

Work hard. The first spyro game is the one that relies mostly on movement. There is no magic trick to learning how to speedrun it but to work hard on movement and routes ;) The few tricks / glitches there are are either quite easy to learn, or nearly impossible :p

I've never experienced this ever in the years I've played Spyro 3, in the last speed way in that Bird race it wont give me the egg and I beat the Time record and it doesn't say "Click X to continue" when it should... has this ever happened to you while speed running @ Nitrofski?

No I did not, I did the race as normal and it just isn't working at all and I can't find any record of this happening to anyone else who has ever played Spyro, so I really would like to know what's going on, I've been considering starting again and seeing if it happens again...would you recommend that?

richguynot I have had a similar problem. In the race of the second world against the planes, I was was first, and Sparx didn't give me the egg. Tried again and again, won many times, but still no egg in my atlas. I was too young at the time to look it up, so I just nervously started a completely new game. I believe you already googled it, so if since you haven't find a solution, I'd advise you to start a new file and on a new memory card...I'm not an expert but there is a chance that it's corrupted...I remember one time I couldn't play Crash properly because the game was pushing buttons randomly and Crash acted like crazy...used another controller, cleaned the disc...no changes...but when I switched the memory card, everything worked fine again...so yeah, it can do even funnier things with other games, and there is a good chance I saved Spyro on that card as well...

richguynot Update: Played the game again, and after many years happened again, and funnily enough, at the bird race as well. Since my memory card seems fine, and the previous poster pointed out that he plays an emulated version, it is probably not the cause of the problem after all...very strange...the only unusual thing that I did is that after completing the time trial, instead of doing the race, I went back to the time trial for the Hunter mission. Since I always saved Hunter for the end in these levels as a tradition of mine, I can only think of that as the problem for now, as unlikely as it sounds. Another strange thing (and now I remembered that this was exactly the case with the planes race) is that after Hunter, I did the race...which seemed strangely hard...I only got to second place in the last lap,and just couldn't win for some reason.... but after several tries I realized that the 1st bird is actually nowhere to be seen. After leaving and reentering the level, this time, everything became WAY too easy...I was first in the second lap already, and at the end, no "Press X to continue" just "Try Again" and if I say yes, Sparx just asks which event do I want to play...After this as stupid as it may sound, the only advices I can give is to do Hunter after the race, and to play the speedway levels as soon as you can, to be slightly less deceived is the game decides to be funny again...until then I'll probably try doing some research on this as well, since the order you play the events seem unlikely to be capable of doing such a mess
