Absolute dogshit game. Playing it from start to finish I could sense right away that the developers did not give a fuck. It’s shoddy, phoned in and lackluster programming at its worst. The story sucks ass as well. No imagination there either. But to hear all these years later that they purposely rushed development just to get it out early makes perfect sense to me. They were arrogant to assume that PS2 graphics alone (then still a new thing) would make us look past everything else. If they had taken their time it could have been as good as the previous three.

Well, the worst Spyro game on a home console at least. However, Spyro Orange on the GBA may possibly be the worst the series has to offer. It had a great idea (crossover with Crash Bandicoot) but completely fucked it up with copy-pasted minigames and an absurdly short play time. You can at least call Enter the Dragonfly a game, even if it's a bad one. I wouldn't call Spyro Orange a game. I'd call it a butchering.

I remember getting some cutscene of a portal at random but it didnt work but it seemed like the cutscene cut off. Some other playthrough was final boss portal glitch at random for no reason, but it crashed the game and when I restarted it removed some dragonflies and I just never ended up getting the ending even when I collected enough lol. Its weird seeing these cutscenes, I never saw them besides the first one haha. What a broken masterpiece, hope it gets remastered one day, it feels like it has potential, even if the whole dragonfly thing doesnt make sense

The Sorceress in Spyro 3 also fell in lava after the first battle with her and she just climbed out unscathed implying she has lava proof scales. Falling into pink acid killed her for good (probably flat out dissolved her to nothing) So its not hard to assume Ripto also has lava proof scales and he just climbed out of the lava only it was off screen and we didn't see it.

Am I the only one who noticed in the first cutscene that after Ripto shows up, we can't hear what their really saying until after they move their lips for a moment? Looks like the lip movement doesn't match the timing of when the voices are supposed to be played.

If you listen close enough at the end, Hunter says the exact line Sparx already did before Spyro winks at the camera. They couldn't even bother to write one of them just a few unique words of dialogue in a cutscene that's supposed to reward the player for accomplishing 100%. I recently got around to playing this game myself and it's a real shame that the good ideas brought forth here are butchered by poor presentation, lack of polish, and too little content to really take advantage of 'em. Putting something like elemental breaths in Spyro's moveset is brilliant; ETD's soundtrack is also worthy of praise (the music for Honey Marsh almost made me tear up since it gives off a serene and almost nostalgic vibe). I don't even need to explain why that along with Thieves' Den and Jurassic Jungle are the best levels in the game (Luau Island ain't too bad either).
