Best part of this level is when you go into the dark caves at the end. You are in darkness yet the monsters do not change. Spyro gets over the fear of the dark in this level

Companioncube 41 good symbolism! The whole level themes about fear of the dark, and after awhile you no loner fear it . Of course I don't think this applies to spyro, he never seemed afraid and is pretty cocky

Easily my favorite world in Dream Weavers visually it's dark, bizarre and you can certainly tell its inspired by German expressionism as all the floors and walls are twisted together, Very much like a odd and abstract dream, very fitting for Dream Weavers.

Peter Shipway I was scared of it as a kid, mostly because I didn't like it when enemies ate you. Now it's one of my favourite levels, due to the creepy aesthetic, kickass music, and the pure catharsis of torching my childhood nightmares in the face.

I always figured the women and children were on vacation when it happened. Spyro wasn’t because he was an orphan. You see a female nanny dragon in A Hero’s Tail, as well as a female dragon Spyro’s age, named Ember. I think some of the baby dragons from Year of the Dragon are female as well.

I prefer this game over the trilogy. I remember when this first came out and the early days of internet. My mom used to know the layout artist Craig Stitt he mailed us limited edition Spyro 2 tee shirts when the 2nd game was released. Back in the 90s they also used to have spyro stuffed animal toys, now you can't find that stuff anymore
