It's not really a surprise that a heavily compressed version of the song can be played so well on a SNES S-SMP sound chip, given a direct descendant of that chip was used as the audio processing chip on the Sony PlayStation.

Where’s the toasty one?

I didn't upload it... I think this song sounds better on the SNES.
@ZAPIMATIONS1008 ай бұрын
Could you maybe make the entire soundtrack like this?
@koinpusher8 ай бұрын
was this played/recorded off of the SNES hardware itself or from the tracker? as in like exporting the track to a .spc file to then load into the SNES for it to play?
@nevets58 ай бұрын
At the time of re-creating the song, there was (and I believe still is) no way to export SPC from Furnace Tracker.
@GLI00M8 ай бұрын
I see, i'm gonna see if some of the exports can be imported to SNES GSS Tracker and then export from there to spc. Tho even if it could it probably won't implement some features that furnace tracker emulates what the SNES would do. Since SNES GSS lacks lots of features

I wonder how this would’ve done as a side-scroller…
@nevets59 ай бұрын
Yeah. I suppose the closest thing to that would be The Legend of Spyro GBA ports. I was actually thinking of making a quick SNES styled Spyro "game" just for this video's visuals... but no, too much work, haha.
