It starts with 3/4 time and only 3 beats per bar and then equalizes to 4/4 with all 4 beats per bar. Pretty neat. Hard to change time like that and not feel it, but Stewart Copeland did a good job.

As much as I loved the soundtrack, the beginning used to scare the shit out of me. I used to torture myself as I would listen to the very beginning of the song and have Spyro fall into the sun to give it a more macabre feel. It didn’t help that this level was frustrating too.
