Many-many great thank-you-s Mosh it is very informative and extremely well explained, and you have a pleasant voice :-) a nice english easy to unterstand for non natives. I installed even python, even though Mosh said this is not useful. After several attempts, and considerable time loss, I just installed both at the same time to go faster. After these two installations, it worked perfectly. Certainly, visual studio was the one blocking it all. Best, t

Hey, for the deleting rows code at 3:06:40 you will be given an Error Code: 1241. Operand should contain 1 column(s). This is because the subquery is returning multiple columns when it should only be returning the client id. To fix this issue all we have to do is change the * to client_id in the subquery. Your code will look like this: USE sql_invoicing; DELETE FROM invoices WHERE client_id = ( SELECT client_id FROM clients WHERE name = "Myworks" ) This will fix your operand error, hope this helps :)

Hi Mosh, I barely write comments in any social web. I am too lazy to do that. But you made me to write something. I found your teaching style is just awesome and second to none. I tried so many paid and free web, videos an ebooks, text books but your one was not boring and I couldn't stop watching. It was concise and precisely tells everything. I finished your tutorial/video about Python and MySQL, both are really awesome. I strongly believe you born as excellent teacher and many of us would like you to see you more successful in online teaching in web such as Udemy, edx or such. Please make structured course with challenges and course material that we can be more benefitted. Many of us wouldn't mind to pay for your professional and enjoying teaching effort at all. Please keep it up. I personally would like you to request make a complete course in Data science. Thank you so much.

Hello @Mosh For first exercise from 1:02:31 The REGEXP Operator there is an issue with your result: the actual answer is --WHERE first_name IN ('elka','ambur')-- because the actual request is “first name are ELKA or AMBUR”. Are single and exact words, you suggestion (--where first_name REGEXP ‘elka|ambur’--) will display words which contain elka or ambur, so Aelkara will be displayed too. Thank you for you tutorials.

Hi Mosh, I'd like to add something; starting from 21.24 you reason that storing the data from John Smith/Elke Twiddel is because when something about said customer changes, only one datasheet has to change because of an internal relationship. Whilst true, one can argue that any arbitrary value can be used for the customer id, like a letter, a word, a hash, or their name. Problems only arise if there would be two of the same values for the customer id, because the wrong customer could be requested because of the internal relationship. So going for a numerical customer id is more out of a (human) necessity in sql. But again, what you're saying is true, this comment is only ment as an addition. Thank you for your tutorial video's

A note on the solutions to the regular expressions exercises: On the first one, the query is for customers whose first name *contains* Amber or Elka, not customers whose first names *is* Amber or Elka. In this data set it doesn't make a difference, but if there was someone whose first name was Amberosa or something like that, the query would return them.
