No, it will not work !! The other two columns which are not in aggregation in select clause , those both should be in group by!! And if you'll that then only this query will run & again it will give wrong output... So due to that only , we should use sum() over() window function

Yes if you're beginner in SQL then you should start building the logic & query both as per order of Execution. But after sometime you can write the query as per usual way but keep the logic & output of each step as per order of Execution in mind....It will help in building correct query to reach the desired outcome

No it will not work, because in select clause, you have used 3 columns out of which one (salesAmount) is in aggregation and other two are not. So, in that case you'll have to use both the other columns (EmployeeID, SalesDate) in Group by clause otherwise this query will give error.

No. You can't use a group by clause to find the running totals. Because, group by clause returns the total sum of values against each employee Id and does not create a separate window. Hence, window function is used in this case. I hope this makes sense.

Yes, you can do the second thing....And for the first thing also you can do that too...but i used order by saleddate because parallelly I was explaining cumulative sum , that's why I used that so that days will come in ascending order

I think you're talking about SQL 50 questions on leetcode. Actually that's just one set of questions from easy to medium level and that's why I have given other practice websites links too of datalemur, hackerrank and Stratascratch. You'll have to practice as much as you can in SQL, it will be helpful for you in interviews 😊

when salary of manager is not given in table , then how can we compare the salary of Manager with employees , when we having Employee_ID and Manager_ID same then why can we consider they are having Same Salary also , why cant we think that salary may differ from them .

Manager is also a employee of company, that's why He/she will only have employee_id not manager_id. You have to perform a join condition on... e1.manager_id = e2.employe_id, So that Manager's detailes of all employees can come beside the employees. After that only you'll be able to compare the salaries by using below condition - where e1.salary > e2.salary
