I have a column and I want to assign the value in it to a variable and do the operation . Like this until all values are assigned. How to do that . Suppose I have a column called name and I have a variable. I want to loop through the column and select the name and do the associated operation then again select another name and do the associated operation

Here we are having one loop for each record, what if I have millions of records in my cursor.. Do we have any replacement in sql server for bulk collect and forall that we have in oracle
