Hi Saif nice explaination along with the examples. I have a doubt while u r using script mode in SQL Transformation u have given the source as file names and it's appropriate paths.But this type of loading is called indirect loading rite.but I can see u haven't enabled type of load as indirect in session level.Can u please explain

Hi Saif, I have a question when it is generally asked in ETL interview to explain about the types of transformations, which transformations we should explain? And also, if we are answering it as Active and Passive, do I need to explain their types further?

Yes. Try to explain transformations such as expression, joiner, lkp, agg, filter, router, mapplets etc. Also while explaining in interview try to relate an ex of thiese trasformations from your current project shown on CV so that it will relate what you are saying and what's on your CV.

H Saif , I have one question on SQL transformation in script mode. there two script one create table i.e. DDL second one is DML First time mapping run sucssess fully it will create the table and insert the records. but when we run the same mapping second time ideally it should failed but session run successfully, when I see session log it is showing error object already exist. My question is why session didn't failed , Please reply me

Hi, The reason the session din't failed bcoz we have not added error handling properties at session level. If you go to session properties, there is one property which says Stop on Error assign a value of 1 in place of 0 which means as soon as the 1st bad record comes the session will fail.
