Good training aid, but just one recommended improvement. There is no RTO assigned at the Squad level. Squad Leaders carry their own radio.

Iv never seen or heard of a gun team attached to a line squad.
@shootintheshtpodcast30299 ай бұрын
@@theaafesoperator platoon sergeant might attach a gun team to the lead squad depending on mettc. It’s pretty standard on this point, the gun team will stay attached to the squad leader during the movement and if the squad leader feels to put the gun in the fight he’ll attach it to the team in contact.

What are small arms? Pistols, SMG Concussion grenades? Or anything smaller than a mounted gun?
@sirfanatical8763 Жыл бұрын
small arms are I think any regular "rifle" like your AKM or M4/M16 or basically anything like that OR pistols, SMGs. I guess anything that does fall under the heavy weapons. Heavy weapons are crew served weapons that NEED a crew to operate effectively.

Instinctivelly i do exactly the same. Me and other good motivated person have already destroyed up to six enemies at once. Flank and side attacks are the key of victory when there's no option for an ambush. Greetings from Brazil

I understand the SL staying a bit behind during contact but why is he in the obj when the rest of the assaulting elements called LOA? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of being 35m away? Why does the SL stay with the enemy?
@tornad80632 жыл бұрын
Loa is limit of advancements. Basically, we do not follpw enemy after that. Area, that sl stayed in is vonsoderes cleared and becomes start of defensive position to prevemt counterattack

What does the "up&up" meaning in the ACE?
@worldtraveler182032 жыл бұрын
Assuming it's Casualties and Equipment (up means that there are no casualties and all their equipment is functional). This has changed slightly to include Liquids as well (it's now known as a LACE report-Liquids, Ammunition, Casualties, and Equipment. Essentially, "Up" means you're good and accounted for. Hope that helps.

but the OMAV will have an electric engine noiseless engine for approaching the enemy, plus the armor and the capacity of launching a UAV for recon. + armor.

@KillKyle71211 жыл бұрын
Well, with the OMAV you are giving up the element of surprise, due to the noise the engine makes. But your tactics to make sense...you are basically saying more fire power and faster maneuverability is worth more than stealth. I don't necessarily agree or disagree but I am left thinking: "Would having fire superiority really matter if the enemy knew you were coming?"
@gunsmokestunes52256 жыл бұрын
Kyle x the enemy always already knows your there in the scenario depicted here , in current battle space the element of surprise is gone , they watch patterns for days weeks and even months before making contact sometimes so the speed on these particular training scenarios for regular infantry do trump stealth , in my opinion of course
@Mariachikids000044 жыл бұрын
Also, these are just basics that everyone learns from basic and further into their military careers. Obviously when contact engages, things can change very quickly and following these exact steps won;t alway be helpful. Leaders have to adapt and overcome the situation.
