Squad Build for Episode 5: Thieves of Kill The Justice League

Edit: forgot to update but a climb from ML1 to ML1000 can take approximately 40-50hrs depending how efficiently you clear missions and if you solely focus on climbing mastery levels. It took me about 40hrs to get there solo. Also, this squad setup was my primary setup throughout and did clear ML1000 comfortably across all missions. May not be the quickest mission clears versus other loadouts (such as an Ivy setup) but will still get the job done. As of the Ep.6 update, the text for Psycho Pirate’s Psionic Virus was slightly changed to clearly exclude Poison and Burn. This means that those damage over time (DOT) sources are excluded from the 200% that Psionic Virus provides; however, it seems like Corrupted Heat Wave’s Incendiary Charge grenade and/or Stacked Deck will still increase the DOT sources. If anybody can confirm what can or cannot increase DOT sources, that would be awesome information to share and I’d greatly appreciate knowing! If any other changes are discovered I’ll try to update here or in a community post ✌🏼 Also, Top Banana seems to be bugged as well. For some reason, it seems that once you reach 40x Combo to activate it, it will remain active even if you lose combo or load into Incursion missions. This is probably a bug that will be fixed in the future. Please use with caution! It has potential to crash when paired with certain gear…I’ll try to go over it in a future video to show you all why it will probably (or should be) fixed! We are currently at ML250 for Episode 6: Scoundrels, beat Brainiac at ML206 and pushing as quick as we can to ML1000. I’ve been using the same squad as depicted in this video and we are still doing quite well. It doesn’t seem like we will be slowing down any time soon with this squad 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Episode 3 Frozen Hearts. Once you have it selected in Nexus, should be able to do either of the Brainiac missions and still have potential to get a Corrupted version of the grenade.

For any Corrupted gear, you have to do the Mayhem/Brainiac missions. Make sure to select your desired Episode in the Nexus page, then you can choose any of the 2 available Mayhem/Brainiac missions (selected Nexus Episode & current episode). Let me know if I just confused you with how I explained it 😂

@theROME You didn't confuse me but there seems to be a kind of bug bc if i do the Braniac Fights for anything before Ep 4 or 5 i only get three rewards. I play on XBS. For Ep 5-7 is no problem and i get the correct amount.

Episodes 3,4, and 5 got hit with a 3 reward loot bug? What mastery levels are you doing the mission on? I don’t recall encountering in those episodes, but in episode 2 I faintly remember something like that or could’ve been episode 3. Haven’t had that happen since those episodes’ initial launch though Add in your experience here ssktjl.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/SSKTJL-8682 Or search SSKTJL-8682 when you go to their bugs report page. Seems like that ticket is still open many months later but at least you can add onto the ticket with your experience and hopefully they are able to look into and fix it. I say if it’s still open, there’s still a chance, there’s still hope. Hopefully can be fixed but at the very least with the Ep.7 update, most of the Notorious items that you would spend time farming runs for can be crafted with Penguin. Not all but select items will have a chance to drop Corrupted.

An alternative option could be Black Mask Target Priority from Finite Crisis since it has a “makes enemies take 200% more damage” effect BUT it does 0 damage. It would fair better on the other squad members or if you are aiming to get kills via any other source that is not a grenade. Another option could be the regular Golden Glider Ethereal Shards since it can cause enemies to receive more Critical Hit damage for 20seconds and because it is a sticky grenade there will be a delay in the explosion (about 3 seconds from making contact with a surface) so you may have a higher chance to get a firearm Critical Hit Kill. Gentleman Ghost is a cluster grenade so there’s no delay and has multiple grenades, and its effect can boost your damage up to +500%. Riddler’s Vexation can make enemies receive 25% more damage each second, up to 250% more damage after 10seconds. There’s a lot of great grenades to choose from depending on what you prefer. I could go on and on with different possibilities 😅 With C.HeatWave, since it does damage, you have a higher chance of killing the enemy with your grenade damage. Great question by the way, I’ll try to remember to provide alternatives for Corrupted gear since they can be a bit more rare of a drop. Thank you!

Finally got the grenade 🎉 the mod steeljacket corrupted is very difficulted for farming

A decent substitute for Corrupted Steeljacket could be Turtle’s Still Force. You won’t have to worry about the extra damage you take and you get +500% more to your overall damage dealt. Then once you can get the C.Steeljacket, I would swap it if you’re comfortable staying in the air or constantly using the enhanced traversal flow (ground jumps & wall bounces) to stay off the ground. You have like 1 second to quickly touch the ground and get back in the air or you reset the C.Steeljacket effect. Getting the right one from the Ep.5 loot pool will be a bit difficult. Luckily that fight is quick and easy, you can go at ML1 to whatever ML you’re comfortable with. Unfortunately since it is a traversal mod and character specific, just gotta pray to RNG it drops for the character you play as or try out the other character for higher levels.

Every episode so far with the exception of Finite Crisis which I’ll probably go back to after Episode 8’s ML1000 climb is done 😂 at least Deathstroke is playable now for you though, if he peaks your interest.

I was wondering, for the next episode, are you going to look into using bane infamous weapon set with Riddlers notorious weapon set in a build?

I’ve tried the T4 and T3 Bane sets with Riddler gear and find it to be quite fun. The Riddler Conundrum weapons I really like, especially the Pistol. Problem Solver is also very good especially with Joker and T1 Catwoman set when in Ep.5 Thieves due to dropping live grenades on Counters.

Does anyone know if the bug with incursions not showing uo on the map is fixed yet, i still have this bug is finit crisis.

From the main menu, choose "Select Squad" -> Game Mode "Finite Crisis" -> Chapter Select and choose Chapter 6 "Crisis on Two Earths" and the Enter Earth-2 segment -> start the Mayhem/Brainiac mission and fight Brainiac, upon completion the incursion missions should repopulate onto the map so you can continue to progress your Finite Rank. If for some reason they disappear again, just repeat the above steps and it should come back. My first encounter with this was back when Episode 3 Frozen Hearts was live, but the missions disappeared again some time before Episode 4 went live. I did the above steps mentioned recently and have not had them disappear yet.

Do you want to go back to duality to get the miss freeze class mod or can you get it in the new episode P.s. love this build keep it up

Since the Duality episode also had MV gear available, you can try both episodes to get the traversal mod for Mrs. Freeze. Technically the Duality episode would be easier to get the item since the loot pool should eliminate all the Finite Crisis and Fear loot that gets mixed in during the Scoundrels episode.
