Invasion mode is a lot like BF Rush, but more interesting. There's a lot more teamwork than BF required, or else your team just gets stomped. It does happen. Sometimes you get games where there's like a gentleman's agreement. For example in low-tier games you're way less likely to see mortars, they won't utilize all the armor available to the team. Theyre good at the game, they just don't try that hard because they're chilling. There's a difference between the aforementioned player and the noob. You gotta get a feel for the game to understand the big picture. It's not that hard to learn everything in like 100 hours or less. The basics of playing the game will be sound at 20-100 hours. From there you're gonna be improving at specific classes, specific maps, etc. Invasion mode is kind of a lazy game mode actually. It's a lot more casual than RAAS (Random Advance and Secure) Edit: I meant to say you gotta learn the difference between a shit match and a low-effort match. You can have a lot of fun playing in a very casual way. As long as you are courteous to your squadmates and you follow orders if your SL is making an attempt to lead. Otherwise, stay prone and keep your map open. Learning how to stay alive is the first step to learning how to kill the enemy 👺

More players, bigger maps. Just means that the players are less dense so it looks like less if you're only looking in a small area.

Clan games are super meta, all about the best strat to use and what you build where specifically. Some of this bleeds out onto the public servers but your assumption here is not wrong anymore. The average player now goes into the game and treats it like battlefield, a pretty steep difference from it's early days in EA sadly. The devs originally intended to make this game into something a step between ArmA and Battlefield, which they achieved mechanically, the playerbase just hasn't really embraced that playstyle fully in it's entirety. People often just want to have 'fun', often at the expense of shutting off their brain and running at the cap to shoot things, as you see with the logi full of people being driven directly into an enemy controlled cap and instantly dying. I'll just add, yes I am a tiny bit salty the game has turned out the way it has. clan matches are fun, but it follows a very predictable tic-tac-toe pattern of gameplay, and public games where you'd find more dynamic situations often end up with one team completely curb-stomping the other team because one has a handful or majority of players who focus bigger objective over run and gun. Still though, it IS a very fun game, especially if you find a bunch of people/friends(make them friends!) to play together with, the experience is 1000x better than just a random mashup of players more often than not.

It was better, but once this game became more mainstream a lot more BF style players joined and now it's a crap shoot on whether you can even get one full squad to coordinate. My favorite moment recently was playing SL and asking another squad to bring their logi back to base since it was the only one we had left, to which he replied "Shut up, go ask your team idiot." Game has been an absolute shit show and not as fun these last few months

People are often unaware of just how deadly that damn rocket truck really is. The usually sit way back near spawn and just shit out the rockets from a distance over about 2/3rds the maps total size or more, unless they are playing on the REALLY big maps, which are few. You stick that thing behind some sandbags and have it watch a chokepoint from a closer range, about 30%-40% further than the distance it shot at the helicopter with, and it WILL obliterate just about everything that comes in front of it. I've seen just a single one of those blunt an entire 30-man charge onto a point, but knowing the map and timing + some luck is key.

Lol no on European servers you have -0 communication where the Russian squad gets all your logis destroyed, some random dude from Turkey crashes all your helicopters, and all the other squads argue about random shit for 2 hours. Yeah the American servers can get kinda cringe sometimes, but I'd take that 11/10 times over the terrible teamwork on EU servers. This game is unplayable without at least some teamwork.

7:46 Can somebody tell me why APC (IFVs got quite a safe stored ammo ao even if it was an IFV it's off. But fcuk it) explodes like it's loaded with C4. Also what kind of autocannon insurgents use against battle-ready (23-25 metric tonnes up-armored) APC to completely ruin it with a few rear hull hits. Because there is no HMG on the planet that does such things let alone in their possession. This is Stryker-kill done by the CV90/40 with its 40 mike-mike cannon. Because it is so common among Taliban. BTW. If you carry 3 RPGs on your back it does not add to suicide-bike lethality in the explosion. Also carrying 3 tubes for 3 loaded grenades is flat-out stupid unless you want to transport it to 3 individuals. If you want to have 3 grenades ready to launch you use 3x RPG 76. It does not look anything like regular RPG-7 M1 does get destroyed by suicide-bike because it would need like 60-70kg of explosives to do any damage if it is not directed. And probably sth like 200kg of random strapped ammo for mortar, HE shells, or some other shit that will not explode simultaneously if it is not wired together.
