To add another layer - Squadron Sinister was initially created as a Marvel version of the anti-justice league. Nighthawk = Batman, Hyperion = Superman, Whizzer = Flash, and Dr. Prism = Green Lantern Thanks for the info and the comment!

Good eye. Quicksilver probably couldn't handle the blast. But for sure he is bouncing off. It's what Quicksilver does best.

+CosmicComics If memory serves me correctly. My mother picked it up at a garage sales for me a little over 20 years ago. I was always a fan of the Squadron Supreme, so I immediately put in a plastic cover and added it to my collection. Which turned out to be a good thing because now it worth about $200.00.

I really wish they explored and expanded more on Quicksilver than they already have now. They don't make enough stories with him or make him more impressive. At the same time I know and understand why. They aren't doing it because they are not recognizing potential, but playing it safe. If they expanded more... I will guarantee you D.C. will try to pull a stunt and take action like they done with Wonderman. They are trying to maintain the dominance of a, "Speedster," niche heroes. (Flash.) D.C. done this with Shazam when he was outselling Superman. If they expanded Quicksilver it could coax them into pulling a stunt on Marvel out of revenge for Captain Marvel dispute or something.

I read somewhere that Mark Gruenwald wanted to tell JLA stories and DC wasn't interested in his contributions, so he created Squadron Sinister then Squadron Supreme. After his passing, I've seen deliberate rifts on DC characters in the artwork like Hyperion sporting a Curt Swan-type "Spitcurl."
