Amazing video! For 7:30 N/J I like to begin with a U’ instead of a U bc it’s a little more ergonomic imo

I went into the video expecting a tutorial from a very advanced square-1er giving dumb tips like "for sub 20 execute all your algorithms in 0.5 seconds" etc., but I'm actually very pleasantly suprised that this video pointed out many mistakes and gave very good examples of some difficult cases it might not be easy to solve. I average 30secs on square-1 and this video made me realise soooo many mistakes I make. First of all, I realised I should do CO not randomly, which is how I always did it lol, but I should put the yellow/black pieces on top and the white on bottom lol. Then, you showed me I'm actually doing opp-opp wrong, cuz i did M2 U2 M2 before, i didnt know there is a better way for that. And also you showed me how to do the adj parity on bottom, without having to rotate the cube, which I actually didnt know. And also how to do the opposite parity without learning it. Overall great video, I think everyone, no matter what level can get a handful of information from it that will make them realise what to improve in square-1 solving.

M2 U2 M2 should just really be used when Opp/Opp doesn’t have a bar flip. But yea, this video is a pinnacle of squan improvement

For -/n at 9:33 you can do a much simpler algorithm that is just j/j U2 j/j
@notmecubes6 ай бұрын
That's 8 slices, 2 more than necessary. And the -/n alg in the video is super spammy
@coolpizzalf89606 ай бұрын
@@notmecubes that is probably why I like it i love spamming

you can also do 1 slice to JJ for a better 6 slicer

In the CSP section, part 1 where you talked about the right tutorial, you said Hashtag Cuber's Website and Video is better than Cube Master's playlist, because Cube Master traces in a way that's slower(hard to get sub-inspection) and less "learner-friendly" than Hashtag Cuber's. I've started with a bit of Cube Master's series, but can you elaborate more on what makes Hashtag Cuber's way of going about CSP better?
@notmecubes6 ай бұрын
So cube master's tracing method isn't necessarily wrong, it's just slower. Hashtag cuber has a set way she traces every single shape. So in every case she traces fists the same way, or sheilds the same way, no matter what the other shape on the bottom is. However, cube master's tracing scheme, although fairly intuitive in its own right, doesn't do this. He changes the way he traces sheilds depending on whether there is a kite on bottom, or a fist on bottom, or a scallop on bottom. This leads to there being one more mental step when tracing csp, which is bad for sub-15 inspection. It's definitely still possible to get good CSP inspection with cube master's tutorial, as many have, but it's still more difficult.

Do you think it is a good idea not to learn full paritity ep instead going directly to scp ?
@notmecubes6 ай бұрын
No that is a bad idea
@notmecubes6 ай бұрын
Parity ep algs are often not ergonomic and inefficient. If you want to improve, you'll have to learn csp sometime or another.
