I can't put into words just how happy I feel seeing this. You've been through so much the last few years and now you have a place of your own with someone you love. It's the little things in life. Things have been hard. Simply put, I'm in a small town with very little opportunities. Spending the last four years after graduating university just trying to get some money together. Working a crappy job where I bring home around $1,300/mo. and apartments start at $1,750. Then "You must make 3x the rent, have a good credit score and a rental history that doesn't include living with your parents." I've been trying for months to find a job where my fiancé lives hitting wall after wall.

Sick video. Pretty inspirational honestly, it shows how even when everything in life goes to crap you just have to keep going, like how you eventually found your new house, and even your perfect console cabinet (overcoming the challenge of just finding it and even putting it together, lol). I had a similar story, luckily not domestic violence but my whole life I had to move, almost every year, because my parents drunk the rent money. Eventually, I found a way to be free, then there was the challenge of finding the right place to live, which took years but, it paid off. It just has to, eventually, if you keep working to change your circumstances it will eventually happen to be way better than where you started. People can overcome a lot of crap!

I think "moving is fun." Not the carrying of stuff as such, but relocating to a new place. I feel the best moment in a new place is when every room is still not finished, your life is still packed in boxes and you don't know how the empty apartment is going to look like eventually.

It's so good to hear from you, my dude!! I love hearing what you've been up to and the fun news about the new place! This video was a very nice stress relief for me. I think it's the combo of your soothing voice and the commentary. You have such a great way of including some comedic moments and really relateable annoyances concerning space. I totally relate when you talk about organizing and taking everything out being one of your fav parts of the process. I'm a disc collector, movies, tv shows, you name it, and sitting down and reorganizing is such a treat for me when I get new stuff to add to the collection, listening to podcasts and music albums as I do so. It's a great workout! [Sometimes I can never decide if I want to organize by alphabetical order, genre, or just my personal favorite preferences...] It's safe to say this is one of my fav videos from you. Having your own space is SO important!! It helps you feel comfortable and I loved seeing you build that from the ground up. It made me kinda emotional, both because I've been watching you for so long and I'm so happy you're getting to do this now, and because I'm a first-year college student still having to live at my childhood home for expense costs. Seeing this video makes me hopeful that someday I'll be able to have the dream of my own space, cuz all of my collections are just shoved into any space available. It makes me sad that I can't feel totally comfy with my stuff. I wish you and your partner SO much love!!! I'm so sorry for the pain and trauma you've gone through in your past experiences. Glad to hear you're in a much better place! If you're still worried about the shelves moving or leaning, it might be worth using some brackets and screws to keep them together - I've done that for a couple of mine, and when they're on the top you can't even see them. Also, as a fellow Besta TV unit owner, you may wanna install fans on the backboard for ventilation, otherwise some consoles tend to get a little toasty for my liking, especially more modern systems like the 360, PS3, and PS4. Going through the same boat been in a hotel for almost 9 months now.. ever since my dad passed 2 years ago I’ve been homeless and bouncing around, but proud to say I got a new place and my lease starts the 1st, just got a new car, and my depression seems to be lightening. Theres something so nice about watching game rooms and other set ups i like, but not all of them show you the entire progress. I totally get you with the ocd thing, i also try to organize everything i have. I don't have an excel list of games like you do, but i made some favourite top 100 lists of games, movies, shows, etc, on word, and i also included the ones outside of said top 100 (including the ones i dislike), it feels nice to have everything organized, to remember that i enjoyed them, to remember them forever, good and bad. I hope the best for you, your partner, and for the future of the channel, i will calmly wait for more content.

You need to have L-brackets drilled into the wall to hold those black shelving units. I live in California where there are earthquakes and this is necessary anywhere that we have heavy, tall shelves.

Amazing! I recently smashed a wall down because my room was too small to have a chair, so i always sat uncomfortably on a bed for 5 years. Now that everythings decorated and i have a new bigger room, there's still not enough space for a relaxing arm chair so i settled for a office chair that probably lasts 2 years and no room for a footrest, awesome!

I'm so happy for you that you finally found a place that you feel safe n. I wasn't following what was happening too much on your Twitter because of my own life situation but I tried to check in every now and then and I know that you've been through a lot the last year and a half (though had no idea the situation got to the point where you had to stay in a men's shelter...). But watching you setting things up in your new game room, I could feel that sense of comfort and security radiate off the screen. I'm the same though, when I moved to the place I'm at now and was away from my own small game shelf for months on end, when I finally got my games out of storage and a new shelf to build and set them on, I felt that same feeling of relaxation & therapeutic vibes as well. All I can say is I'm glad you didn't give up and kept trying . I only hope that with your family, things will get better with time. I won't lie, I miss your reviews but with all that you went through, I don't blame you for not being ready to go back to them yet so for now, just rest easy and rejuvenate which is what you need after going through that.
